In my experience, Lemmy users generally seem to be more mature (with significant exceptions), but “mature” certainly isn’t a synonym for “smarter”.

Plus, reddit is SO EASY to make fun of. They might as well reward people with terrible ideas and their most obnoxious users. Spez, for example.

It's probably true. They're at least not as brainwashed and irreparably fucked in the head as many Redditors, since they turned that site into thinly-veiled Stormfront (I guess Anglo-Saxon/Western restless rage was brewing there but Trump normalized the real Western culture?) and they seem to be okay with it. 🤷
