Is she still living rent free in their heads?

[-] atlasraven31@lemm.ee 59 points 1 year ago

Worse, I think there might be some amorous feelings just below the surface.

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 30 points 1 year ago

Next we're gonna find out that they had an affair in the 80s and that's Eric's real origin story.

[-] PoastRotato@lemmy.world 28 points 1 year ago

Just wait in 10 to 20 years when the zombie Hillary adds start running.

[-] Frog-Brawler@kbin.social 108 points 1 year ago

Considering how she’s not in politics anymore, I hope she sues him for libel.

[-] Ashyr@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 year ago

Would it be slander if spoken?

Regardless, the standards for a public figure are very high and often difficult to prove. Despite no longer being active in politics, she would still qualify as a public figure.

Yeah, Hilary's super secret brainwashing technique that she chose not to use in her own election bid. Keep the conspiracies coming.

[-] TechyDad@lemmy.world 57 points 1 year ago

Well, according to another Trump conspiracy theory, Hillary got a million illegal immigrants to vote for her in California which is why he lost the popular vote. So somehow she was able to get a million people to illegally vote without leaving any evidence and she decided to have them all vote in safe blue California instead of within swing states.

[-] baldingpudenda@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago

And he lost by 2.9 million so even if you double it he still lost. He also did that 'were gonna find out about those illegal votes' and asked for voter info. Every state responded with no that's illegal and we never heard about it until he lost again. Why would I vote for someone that can't even protect my right to vote when they're president? Or a weak ass party that can't get anything done against a powerful party that can cheat and get away with it?

[-] TechyDad@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

Trump actually formed a commission to turn up evidence of illegal voting. Their plan was to show that Democrats were illegally voting. Only, the evidence showed that most illegal voting came from Trump supporters voting twice - and even then it wasn't enough to make a difference in any race.

We're talking about a dozen or so nationwide and all easily caught. Because, surprise surprise, it turns out that it's hard to vote illegally and NOT get caught. It's orders of magnitude harder to vote illegally at a scale where it affects an election result without getting caught.

Instead of releasing their findings, Trump's election commission decided to just disband themselves. This way, Trump could claim that there was still fraud without his own commission saying otherwise.

I love that I never hear a out Hillary at all, except for when the GOP constantly bring her up... it would be years of not knowing she exists anymore otherwise.

[-] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 16 points 1 year ago

Aren't the Conservatives the ones always going on about "Trump living rent free in your head"?

She lives in the MAGA Republican head rent free.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago

They've had it in for her ever since the early 90s. They just never got over the uppity woman piping up on matters of policy.

All that power and she couldn’t use it for herself. Did she get it from a monkey's paw?

[-] atlasraven31@lemm.ee 20 points 1 year ago

She trained with the Bene Geseritt and learned The Voice.

He wants to run against the person he beat in 2016 and not the person who beat him in 2020, the reasoning for the person in particular makes sense.

But the brainwashing thing seems a little too always-online, I don't think you're winning over any moderates who voted Trump 2016, Biden 2020, and those are the people he needs.

[-] dhork@lemmy.world 44 points 1 year ago

They may not exist.

In 2016, Clinton got around 66M votes, to Trump's 63m. But in 2020, Biden got over 81M, while Trump got over 74M. 2020 was the highest voter turnout, by percentage, since 1900.

It may be that nobody at all changed their mind, and that the casual voters, who normally don't bother, decided to vote this time, and more chose Biden. The winning strategy is to give these more apathetic voters a reason to care about your side.

[-] thedirtyknapkin@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

oh i know a lot of people who half heartedly voted for trump the first time as a meme. especially terminally online 18-20 year olds who had never voted or cared before. i know 6 people who voted for him as a meme then regretted it.

[-] macrocephalic@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

Yes I think that was a lot of his appeal in '16. It was people voting for anything but the status quo, a protest vote, a donkey vote of sorts. It turns out that the status quo is still better than an imbecile.

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Yup, same. Not all were in that age range, but I knew some in that range. I also knew people much older, but very low-info, who voted for him because he had that game show and he would "shake things up" and was an "outsider" and "not a politician" and other stupid reasons. I also knew a guy in his 30s who was scared into voting for the first time (for donnie) because he was convinced Hillary was going to "take his guns". Also, this guy does not actually OWN guns, but wants to be sure he can get them...

It's sad that elections are probably decided at the margins, often by people making absolutely terrible decisions based on very little actual information.

Unoriginal copycatting. This is only because she said MAGAs would need deprogramming. Accusation = confession as usual

[-] Surp@lemmy.world 32 points 1 year ago

Stuff like this should be illegal. But alas.

[-] Very_Bad_Janet@kbin.social 32 points 1 year ago

[-] rebelsimile@sh.itjust.works 26 points 1 year ago

Hillary should start sarcastically campaigning for Trump. Do a “Lock Her Up” tour.

[-] Pratai@lemmy.ca 25 points 1 year ago

I’m so glad there’s no one smart enough left in his circle to tell him to shut the fuck up.

[-] randon31415@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago

MAGA: "Please Hillary, come back! You were the only democratic nominee that a MAGA-head could actually win against! We don't want to go back to the constant stream of failed governor from Florida or rich asshole senator/governor from New England!"

[-] cosmicrookie@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago

Trump accusing others of brainwashing 😀😀😀 he's just jealous because his followers don't have brains so that he can claim to do what she does

She's probably regretting not brainwashing more people to vote for her in 2016

[-] LuckyBoy@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

But she did win the popular vote. Its the system that America haves that doesnt make any sense.

[-] novakeith@links.dartboard.social 15 points 1 year ago

Playing the hits I guess

Are you hearing voices again Donald? You should know she hasn't spoken to you in a year. Honey you should take your meds. Yeah haha ofc "make America great again" but make your bed first. Thank you honey.

[-] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Really?

95% of the time I hear anything from or about HRC it’s because the right wingnuts are constantly talking about her.

She keeps a pretty low profile for someone with that alleged level of control.

Besides, isn’t brainwashing the repetition of simplistic ideas and negative reinforcement of questioning those ideas? Making everyone on the same team, and punishing those who don’t conform? Sounds a lot like the republicans.

[-] assassin_aragorn@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

Rent. Free.

[-] DeepThought42@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

So their strategy is to double down on the crazy. This is certainly going to be an interesting campaign season then.

[-] MonsiuerPatEBrown@reddthat.com 9 points 1 year ago
