I was the manager of, and sole employee of, a custom frame shop and just before closing one night I finished up a large signed jersey with Rose Bowl memorabilia, tickets, pin, lanyard, programs, pictures, the works, from this couple's trip there that meant a great deal to them. The silicone still had to dry, so I left it on the back counter ready to wrap in the morning. The shop got robbed that night, for the flat-screen out front, but they saw that jersey and took it too. Guy was devastated bc it was irreplaceable stuff. I was like "We'll see about that!" I called the Rose Bowl committee and told them what happened, they replaced everything, including the last lanyard they found on the floor behind the shelves they had been on. I emailed the sports team and told them what happened, and the player signed a new jersey with the customer's name on it. Guy was crying actual tears when he picked up the new shadowbox. So being a momentary hero is my "claim to fame" ๐Ÿ˜‚

  1. i ended up in a strangeaeons video once. i stopped watching her content when i started high school and didn't find this out until about a year or two after it occurred.

  2. a bit later in my high school years, i became a top 100 global champion for a handful of week-long events in the mobile rhythm game "bang dream", of which there were usually about 10,000-30,000 players per event. not very high level, but, having an essential tremor and issues with motor coordination due to autism, it was a way for me to train my hands

I have two.

I used to be friends with a youtuber who made guide videos for a popular game. (I'm being intentionally vague.) He liked to end his videos with a certain type of clip specific to the game but was having trouble getting the clip. I'd been playing with him for a bit during this time and managed to get the clip he was looking for. After he failed to get the shot he wanted for a bit longer, he asked if I wouldn't mind him taking my clip and pasting his name over mine. I said of course. Once every few years I watch that video and smile.

I was on an intramural soccer team with Jessica Biel. (I never did work up the courage to say more than two words to her. I get starstruck hard and easily.)

German indie rock band Guano Apes has an autograph from my wife.

Basically one of the band members was a friend of a friend and she was over once or twice. And he has a door where he collected visitor's autographs.

I don't know if they were already famous at that time. They might have been.

Rap Battles of History said they liked my idea and used it as an example of a good idea to some other people.

I said "Neil Armstrong vs Jacques Cousteau: pioneers of the final frontiers" or something to that effect.

In the end they did Jacques vs someone else.

Unfortunately we didn't get 1st place, but my high school Splatoon 3 team got 2nd place in a national e-Sports competition, so I guess I used to be one of the best teenagers in the nation.
