Unless she was a kickboxer / martial artist, then her assertion that she did not intend to kick anyone on the face is really indicating that they took her down and there was a struggle in which an untrained idiot did a terrible job at restraining her feet whilst she's going down or trying to get up. I hope that whoever received the kick has a fat lip!

Yes, but that sounds at least somewhat intentional.
No, it's like when a cop punches you in the face and then you get charged with assault for hurting their hand, and destruction of government property for getting blood on their uniform. And also resisting arrest because you tried to protect yourself after being punched in the face.
