It's so dumb because they could so easily score some points by throwing him under the bus and saying, "no he crossed a line and should face justice" but no, they've got to be as evil as fucking possible like it's compulsory.

The lesson to take away from all of this is that you're going to be murdered and they'll claim that you tried to run them over, no matter what you actually did. So why not just run them over?
The lesson is they'll escalate to violence against any random unarmed person that happens to be near them...

For sure but people seem to be organizing to protest rather quickly. It's too close to George Floyd. It feels different. Maybe it's just hopium.

This is damn near identical to how the fascists approached George Floyd.
Difference is the fascists don't have the same legal resistance to their actions to prevent an all out crackdown on opposition like in 2020.
Probably exactly why Waltz is readying the Nat Guard. It isn't to resist ICE, its an attempt to discourage Trump from taking control of them again. I don't think that's gonna work tho.
