I cant imagine how powerful a corporation can be if they feel comfortable suing the fucking governemtnt

They sue over this but not when ICE used their Pokemon IP on their videos?
nintendo only owns 1/3 of pokemon apparently, the other is gamefrek/masuda, i forgot the 3rd one.
Sadly they had no legal standing on that due to parody law. I'm sure they would have of they could have.
That's 2 different companies (Nintendo vs The Pokemon Company). But also yeah, obviously they have much more to gain when it's about $200B.
I have to suspect it's 200b yen, even though the article states "$200 billion". The later with a 15% tarrif would imply $1.33 trillion in US sales in the last year, which I highly doubt
According to news sites, the US government took in about $166 billion, although I'm also seeing $175 billion floating around. CBP is claiming that they can't comply with the refund order as quickly as they want because of technological and manpower excuses. They're claiming that the large number of refunds and the current manpower is limiting their ability to quickly issue these refunds.
Manpower? They could use the ICE idiots as manpower
They'd be awfully upset if they could read what you just suggested.
None of that is going to customers who overpaid, is it?
Are you mad? The poor capitalists need that 200 billion! Otherwise their chrildren won't be able to afford a 3rd yacht, is that seriously what you expect??? You make me sick!
I didn't overpay (because not living in the US) so take what I write with grain of salt but at this point I'm just happy the US gets their ass whooped. Yeah, it sucks for the people living there, but it's necessary.
am american, can confirm. americans as a whole are dumb as fuck, the only chance of them learning lessons is through direct personal pain
Did Nintendo raise prices?
Nintendo games on the Switch 2 are generally $20 higher than their Switch 1 counterparts.
That's not because of tariffs though.
Absolute fucking shit article.
Read the fucking lawsuit before ya compose and post your feeble excuse for journalism, Mr. Tom Shardware.
The total tariffs globally collected are around $200B but Nintendo is only seeking the return of their chunk plus attorney fees.

Huh?
See link
Of course you do he’s a Nintendo IP
I just hope this gets more huge companies to start suing. I've already accepted that I won't see any of that money again so I'd at least love to see how far this goes.
argues that those tariffs were unlawfully imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act of 1977 (IEEPA) and seeks the return of the collected duties "with interest," along with attorney fees and the reprocessing of its import entries.
Simply amazing lol. Certainly tired of all the "winning".
