What does this mean?
Chatbots can't do his job because he's done his job and he's seen what chatbots can do and he can see that they're not up to the task. That's true. The bullshit is when he thinks they can do everyone else's job. He can't see or understand what other people do, so he figures they can be replaced by a slurry of the words they use. In short:
it means he got the AI psychosis
"it just kind of dies, like it goes 'having a job sucks and it stole my drive to continue' then kills its self out of sheer will. it's broken so we stopped using it"
Of one of these vampires actually said that, it would be so utterly believable.
