If you lose to Donald Trump, you are literally unelectable.

[-] TheGoldenV@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago

A robust primary to find the best possible candidate?

[-] AdamEatsAss@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

The primary system in the USA is biased to who the first few states prefer. But if the Dems had had an actual primary last time maybe they would have found a different replacement for Biden.

[-] Ryanmiller70@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 weeks ago

Yep by the time my state gets to vote in the primary, over half of the candidates have dropped out and the obvious winner is preparing for their full campaign. Makes it obvious why so few vote in the primaries here

Best I can do is sheepdogging and pre-blaming you for the failures of the corporate establishement

Hey, how many other presidential candidates have made it to a general election while never earning a single primary delegate in their entire career?!

She's a once in a generation candidate!

[-] Tylerdurdon@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

No no! Let's shove a preselected candidate down everyone's throat and hope they hold their noses. That'll be good enough! Best out of 3!

She's an idiot to think her loss to a convict and rapist was anyone's fault but her own. She'll have even less of a chance against any reasonable candidate.

[-] SippyCup@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

"I bet you won't vote for a woman!"

... Ok... Do you have any policy positions we should know about?

"You wouldn't vote for THAT guy over a woman would you?!"

Please ... We literally just want healthc-

"LOOK, REPUBLICANS THAT DON'T LIKE HIM!"

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 weeks ago

Seriously. I did vote for a woman. Just not a pro-genocide woman.

Kamala. Exit the echo chamber. Read the room. We need change, not a return to the status quo that gave us Trump 2.0. Don't be an opportunist.

[-] lemmylump@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Go home and stay there, you are not wanted, your fight is done.

You lost and you can never be what this world and country needs right now.

Fuck Newsome too.

I don't want centrist Republican playmates, I want progressive left scorched earth justice.

[-] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 9 points 2 weeks ago

Lmao. Didn't seem like she really gave a fuck last time. Why bother now?

[-] BillCheddar@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

Kamala and I have one more thing in common: We have the same exact chance of being elected President in 2028.

For the love of god fuck off. Nobody is going to vote for you. This would all but guarantee another republican win even after all of this

[-] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

Please don’t.

[-] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 weeks ago
[-] aramis87@fedia.io 5 points 2 weeks ago

The only people I'm interested in voting for are those currently pushing back against the regime. Beyond a few tweets or comments, she hasn't even tried.

[-] Vupware@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 weeks ago

She vanished off the face of the earth post-election, only to come back with a book to peddle. Now she wants to run again? Fuck off!!!!

[-] thatradomguy@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

It requires not supporting Israel. Have you thought about that?

[-] EtAl@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 weeks ago

I know what it requires

Do you? You were happy to fund Bibi's genocide in Gaza, and it lost you the election. You moved to the right, and it lost you the election. You wouldn't distance yourself from Biden, and it lost you the election.

Take the hint.

[-] zd9@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago

NO.

GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM NATIONAL POLITICS.

[-] daannii@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

She's literally a Republican in just about every single way.

I'd say Democrats never learn from their mistakes, but there probably won't even be a 2028 election.

[-] bigfish@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 weeks ago

They don't. Or they'd start reading the room and actually start pushing an actual "change agent". They're too stuck on running people whose whole ethos is "if only things were how they had been back in the 90s" (when DNC had power). Was a great time for them, but since Regan, everything's been getting shittier for everyone not in the political or donor class. They need to run a FDR not a Biden.

[-] zd9@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

They need to run a FDR not a Biden.

Lol they never will because that would be an actual threat to their owners' power.

So we're getting 4 years of Vance guaranteed (possibly 6 if Trump doesn't make it to the end of his current term).

[-] Steve@startrek.website 3 points 2 weeks ago

Wet noodle vs vile rapist 2: electric boogaloo

[-] MehBlah@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

In order to win it requires you to fuck off somewhere else.

The epitome of being willing to burn the world down just to keep yourself in the spotlight. Well, actually, I guess the person she lost to is the epitome of that....

[-] kreskin@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Its fine, she has zero chance of winning a primary.

[-] cenariodantesco@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I'm not American but gimme that AOC baby

It doesn’t matter if you are right or wrong for the job. They have a proven playbook to beat you and the momentum from last time. You aren’t an option. Stop it.

You want to beat Trump? Do something they don’t have an answer to. Show them what a real leftist looks like. They won’t be able to process it at all and all their screeching of “leftist” won’t matter because it’s the same accusation the republicans always make. They’ve acclimated.

You pick up the Left. Fly under the Radar on the Right. And guarantee consequences and break the cycle.

We have an answer. They just know Dems won’t do it.
