What hits me the hardest is how many people are clapping in front of him as he says it.

It goes to show how deep this corruption has infested in the American psyche.

I thought it wasn't a war but a military intervention? But since this is coming from the biggest traitor of the US, you know..

I thought it was already over and that's why it doesn't need to get congressional approval to continue.

[-] T00l_shed@lemmy.world 11 points 3 weeks ago

For Americans, for the rest of us, we can confidently say, you failed to win a war you started for no reason at all, your country has become an utter failure, no one can trust a single thing coming out of your country, from the food, to the media, to the words of the president, absolutely nothing is trusted with the american seal of approval, your tech industry is just an extension of the goverment now, so can't trust that either.

I'll give you one thing tho, you are unifying the world in mockery of your sad pathetic actions.

[-] paladin235@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

As an American, I totally agree. I am at a loss as to how we got to where we are so quickly, how it can be fixed, or what I should do as an individual. Feels like a slow motion train wreck that was easily predicted and warned about, yet nobody changed anything to avoid it.

The most frustrating thing is that writing my representatives in government, voting, and protesting all seem completely ineffectual.

The truth is treason. Lies are patriotism. War is peace. Freedom is slavery.

[-] Objection@lemmy.ml 8 points 3 weeks ago

If the goal of the war was to increase gas prices by about 50%, murder a bunch of random schoolchildren, and accomplish nothing else, then they're doing a real bang up job of it.

[-] smuuthbrane@sh.itjust.works 8 points 3 weeks ago

Hey, friendly Canadian here with breaking news for Americans: the US is not winning the war in Iran.

[-] n3m37h@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 weeks ago

Or the trade war, elbows up

[-] iamthetot@piefed.ca 2 points 3 weeks ago

I mentioned to a coworker today that I was (still) avoiding American companies whenever possible, and they asked me why. I genuinely looked them blankly in the eyes and said "Are you serious?"

It's treason to be Putin's bitch.

Shame no one has the power, or the balls to hold the traitor accountable.

[-] sunbeam60@feddit.uk 3 points 3 weeks ago

It was their final, most essential command.

[-] TronBronson@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Im not going to say we're not winning. We lost. We could not take a single strategic objective and we just called it off. We lost freedom of navigation, american lives, and any perception of military strength. All our soft power and hard power gone all at once. in 60 days. Trump did more for Irans death the America calls than any army could

[-] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 weeks ago

You're quoting the constitution like it means anything to them.

[-] Almacca@aussie.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago

[-] CubitOom@infosec.pub 1 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

It is Treasonous for the President to not uphold the Constitution.

The First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. It forbids Congress from both promoting one religion over others and also restricting an individual’s religious practices. It guarantees freedom of expression by prohibiting Congress from restricting the press or the rights of individuals to speak freely. It also guarantees the right of citizens to assemble peaceably and to petition their government.
