Image is of General Abdourahamane Tiani, leader of Niger (left) and Ibrahim Traoré, leader of Burkina Faso (right).

The Alliance of Sahel States (ASS) formed on September 16th in the wake of the coup in Niger in late July, in which Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso created a military and increasingly economic alliance in which attacking one would result in the other two joining. This was initially most relevant militarily, as ECOWAS was threatening an invasion of Niger if they did not restore civilian rule. Nonetheless, due to a mixture of a lack of real strength in ECOWAS due to Nigeria's internal problems, and the influence of Algeria, a very strong regional military power who negotiated against a war which could further destabilise an already destabilised region, and the vague promises of future civilian rule, the external military threat seems to have mostly dissipated.

However, internal threats remain. Burkina Faso is fighting against ISIS and al-Qaeda, which commit regular massacres of civilians; the government controls only 60% of the country. In Mali, the government is fighting against similar groups as well as the Tuareg, which inhabit the more sparsely populated north of the country - the government is in the process of kicking out the UN mission to Mali, and in the process retaking rebel stronghold cities like Kidal, which is raising some eyebrows as to what exactly the UN was doing all this time; and Niger is fighting against similar Islamic groups too, and is kicking out the French for being exploitative motherfuckers. Combine this with the sanctions against Niger which are crippling the country, disease outbreaks in Burkina Faso, and just the general shitty state of the world economy, and the situation is not looking very good currently.

That all being said, economy and trade ministers from all three countries have met this past weekend in Bamako, the capital of Mali. There, they recommended that the countries: improve the free movement of people inside the ASS (don't laugh!); construct and strengthen infrastructure like dams and roads; construct a food safety system; establish a stabilization fund and investment bank; and even create a common airline. This is all attracting foreign attention too - Russia has signed a deal to build Africa's largest gold refinery in Mali, and China is the second largest investor into Niger after France, ploughing money into the gold and uranium industries there. And, of course, the Wagner group is in the region - though I'm unsure if they're having a major or minor impact on events there.

Israel-Palestine Conflict

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

UNRWA daily-ish reports on Israel's destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account. Alt here.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon. - Telegram is @IbnRiad.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis. - Telegram is @EyesOnSouth.
English-language Twitter account in the same group as the previous two. - Telegram here.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.
More telegram channels here for those interested.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Sources:

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches. Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian Telegram Channels:

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine Telegram Channels:

Almost every Western media outlet.

so 2 years ago , this german C-Promi stated in a video that he was ordered to hide his star of david in the Best Western Hotel in Leipzig.. .... now you all know that german Puplic and Bourgoisie is obviously , not some kind of "Lynchmob" that would go Haywire on the Acussation of "antisemitism" like they are Pavlos Dog.... ähm .. ähm.. trying to hunt down the receptionist.. what-the-hell ..

Well it turns out that it was all a lie and he was pissed he couldnt check in first. So he just went outside and recorded his video accusing the receptionist of beeing antisemitic.. Its fucking hilarious , as germany is going completttly insane with its "guilt demands Holocaust or do you wanna be a Nazi " brainworms . No there is accute danger that maybe some germans might fiigure out that maybe a certain "entity" is maybe in the same practise , and all institutions are going full "damage Controll"

This made me want to vomit. He was singing.

My husband's business was supposedly here. It was completely flattened to the ground. We got to know from a video an Israeli soldier posted on Tiktok. The soldier was singing as she shows the area destroyed and flattered. Heartburning.

altAn edit of Norman Rockwell’s “Freedom from Want” painting (the Thanksgiving painting).

Gathered at the table, circled around a big burger with a bleeding earth between its buns, are Yakub, baby Hitler, Amy Schumer, Paddington bear, Eve Barlow, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Yaakov Fauci, and two minor Twitter personalities (including a wojak that bears an uncanny resemblance to its subject). Everyone but Yakub has a Hitler mustache. Also, behind Eve Barlow is the text “FARTLOW” in green mist.

The text at the top of the image says “LOOK WHO’S COMING TO DINNER.”

Off to the side, standing beside the table, wearing lederhosen and carrying a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine is Adolf Hitler. He is saying “Room for one more? Lol.”

New slammer post

In reference to what gustavo petro said

Hitler is knocking on the doors of the homes of the European and North American middle class—and many have already let him in.

Petro version

altSame as previous description, only Hitler is now at the table in place of baby Hitler and Columbian President Gustavo Petro is off to the side of the table in the garb of jdpon icon Qin Shi huangdi throwing a fireball at everyone.

The text reads “UNLIMITED GENOCIDE ON THE 1ST WORLD.”

When Denmark's government made the decision to euthanise all minks in the country in the fall of 2020 they took over the now useless farms, paying generous compensations to farmers, with the intent of demolishing the structures that can no longer be used for raising minks.

Now the contracts to carry out one of the largest demolition projects in Danish history has been awarded to six companies. All of the six companies have recent convictions for breaking health and safety regulations regarding asbestos. One of the convictions happened when a company was breaking off asbestos roofing with a crowbar, lifting it with a grab and letting them fall two metres into a container, causing asbestos dust to fly all over the demolition workers.

This is not the worst news though. The union 3F who organises construction workers considers the six companies to be the ones who are best at handling asbestos safely, despite their history. The reason the companies got inspected and fined in the first place is that they actually report asbestos work to the authorities as they're supposed to. Other companies simply never tell the authorities about the work and thus have virtually no risk of ever having their asbestos work inspected.

The proposal was shown to key figures in the House and Senate from both parties. Longtime lawmaker, Rep. Joe Wilson, has even expressed open support for it while others who were privy to the details of the text have so far kept a low profile, saying that publicly coming out in favor of the program could derail it.

“Israel is trying to keep civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip as low as possible, but Hamas is not allowing the refugees to leave and Egypt is unwilling to open its borders,” the plan’s authors write in the opening paragraph.

They later go on to explain that “the only moral solution is to ensure that Egypt opens its borders and allows for the refugees to flee from the tyrant control of Hamas. The US Government provides Egypt with approximately $1.3 billion in foreign aid, and these funds can be allocated to the refugees from Gaza who will be allowed into Egypt.”

Tesla suing Sweden over license plates

summary: metalworker's union is striking against Tesla's refusal to sign a collective bargaining agreement, strike extended to dockworkers in sweden and norway and now to postal workers as well. License plates can by law only be distributed via the post office, so Tesla can not sell any of their cars since postal workers are blocking those deliveries.

striking is the one good thing about swedish culture

George Santos expelled from Congress in historic vote

After a damning ethics report, and as he faces dozens of criminal charges, the US House of Representatives has expelled Congressman George Santos.

The New York Republican is only the sixth lawmaker in history to be expelled from the lower chamber of Congress, and the first since 2002.

His tenure was marked by multiple lies about his past and allegations of fraud - all revealed after his election.

Friday was the third effort to oust Mr Santos after two previous failed votes.

The 35-year-old from Queens made a quick exit before the vote ended as its outcome became clear, rushing past a swarm of reporters.

"As unofficially already no longer a member of Congress, I no longer have to answer a single question from you guys," he said.

"To hell with this place," CNN reported he added before ducking into a waiting SUV parked at the Capitol steps.

Lawmakers backed the resolution to expel Mr Santos 311 to 114, with 206 Democrats and 105 Republicans voting in favour.

Scattered applause was heard on both sides of the House chamber after the motion was adopted.

Over 11 months in office, Mr Santos has faced an endless stream of controversy and countless calls to resign from both Democrats and his fellow Republicans.

His troubles began shortly after winning election to the House in November 2022, when The New York Times reported he had lied about a Wall Street career, his college degrees and having Jewish ancestry.

ICJ Rejects Measures Requested by Guyana on Referendum

On Sunday, over 20 million Venezuelans have been summoned to a consultative referendum where they will decide regarding the Guyana Esequiba.

On Friday, Venezuelan Communication Minister Alfred Nazareth that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) had rejected the measures requested by Guyana in relation to the suspension of the consultative referendum on the Essequibo.

Approved previously by the Venezuelan National Assembly, the Essequibo referendum will be held on December 3 and will contain the following questions:

  1. Do you agree to reject by all means in accordance with the law, the line fraudulently interposed by the 1899 Paris Arbitration Award, which seeks to deprive us of our Guayana Esequiba?
  1. Do you support the 1966 Geneva Agreement as the only valid legal instrument to reach a practical and satisfactory solution for Venezuela and Guyana regarding the controversy over the territory of Guayana Esequiba?
  1. Do you agree with Venezuela's historical position of not recognizing the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice to resolve the territorial controversy over Guayana Esequiba?
  1. Do you agree to oppose, by all legal means, Guyana's claim to unilaterally dispose of a sea pending delimitation, illegally and in violation of international law?
  1. Do you agree with the creation of the Guayana Esequiba state and the development of an accelerated comprehensive care plan for that territory's current and future population, a plan which includes, among others, the granting of citizenship and Venezuelan identity card, in accordance with the Agreement Geneva and International Law, consequently incorporating such state on the map of Venezuelan territory?

Previously, on Nov. 15, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez presented her country's arguments before the ICJ in defense of holding the consultative referendum on the Essequibo.

On that occasion, she denounced the request presented by Guyana before the ICJ as carrying an interventionist intention from the neighboring country, which seeks to prevent the holding of a citizen consultation process that the Venezuelan Constitution provides for.

With solid historical and legal arguments, Rodriguez ratified the validity of the 1966 Geneva Agreement and questioned the intention of the Guyanese authorities to proclaim the 1899 Arbitration Award as valid.

She also noted that Guyana is part of a plan of aggression against the Bolivarian nation behind which are the interests of hegemonic powers and large oil companies.

In statements to the press made at the end of the ICJ hearing in The Hague, Rodriguez highlighted that the Bolviarian legal and diplomatic team had demonstrated that Guyana is not the victim but the aggressor country, which instrumentalized the Court in an attempt for repealing the sovereign legal norms that govern in Venezuela.
