How do people read headlines like this and still think capitalism is good?
Love too drive my children to school in the rolling pissbaby vendetta machine
my vehicle activating a siren and contacting federal agents because I put in a VHS of Aladdin 2: The Return of Jafar
Can't watch and cry to the little mermaid while drunk behind the wheel of my self-driving cybertruck that's mowing down school children Twisted Metal style.
Chevy is going to release an EV that's got Mickey Mouse decals on the doors standard, and Tesla is going to go bankrupt the next week.
Jesus it really is just a full blown TV in the center console huh?
How are there not more stories about people crashing cus they're watching TV in the car
Because it only works when the vehicle is parked.
I've had to drive several Ford trucks recently. I shit you not it was one of the most dangerous experiences I've had because there are 0 buttons. Everything is on the touch screen, so instead of having the tactile confirmation of a button being pressed or the knowing the location of a knob, you have to go through several menus and dropdown selections to do basic shit like changing the volume, temperature, air flow, etc. And there's like a 900 ms latency so you have to check whether or not your sweaty, greasy fingers actually pressed the option.
(the volume is analog but i swear it was virtual on mine)
Yea my last boss leased 150s. Nothing like almost dying because he's half off the road going 65 on back roads while staring at a computer moniter trying to get fox news back on the radio.
Communism is dumb and irrational unlike capitalism where a multi billion dollar company's decisions and a country's potential economic collapse are dependent on a single person's emotions
Apparently he removed it only from vehicles who have never accessed the app.
I mean…. Why the fuck are we watching movies whist motoring, to begin with? Remove Disney+, fine. But remove them all. Also, how fucking petty are we that we are removing an app from my vehicle’s infotainment whatever?
This is not quite the shittiest timeline, but its pretty fucking close to it.
Doesn't this violate anti-trust laws. Not letting someone do business with one company because they won't do business with another company you own in a different industry.
Somewhere in America, a poorer version of Elon is recording themselves smashing their kids Elsa and Cars 2 toys with a hammer.
What kind of OS is the Tesla infotainment system running? Are companies writing custom apps from scratch for it or just porting their Android apps for it?
It's Linux. They're just loading web apps in the browser.
Can't tell if you're joking about it all being electron or not. Either way, funny as fuck
Not electron, the theater apps just load the respective service's regular web app. The bulk of the car's UI is built in QT last I remember, though the newer music apps (Apple Music and the Spotify redesign) are web apps also.
Generally some of the best automotive UI, but the competition surely isn't very strong.
built in qt
qt-7 is released and every Tesla gets bricked trying to update.
Still a terrible overall design because every basic piece of information and feature is centralized on a screen that drivers can choose to keep in the center. And as you know, drivers are very intelligent and aware people.
Is this history's most expensive and dumbest mid life crisis?
Nothing helps your cash-hemorrhaging company attract new advertisers like the most petty weak little baby-slaps against people that have (rightfully, as you've since admitted) called you out for bad behavior. Man, where can I sign up to do business with this guy!
