Starfield was pretty innovative at getting people to shell out a ludicrous amount of money for the Oblivion engine long, long after it should have been retired

Reminds me of Time's "world's most influential person" poll from 2009 where 4chan brigaded it and made Christopher Poole (aka moot, 4chan founder) person of the year. They also manipulated the next 20 spots to spell out "marblecake, also the game" lmao
