Ik it's a joke but when stuff like that actually happens it triggers my rejection sensitivity sooo bad and it made me into such a lurker lol. I like, never post online.
Can we talk about this kind of discourse? Namely when lurkers post about lurking... it's damaging to the lurker reputation when people pretend to be lurkers but still actually submit posts and comments. You have no idea what it's like to be a real lurker smh

Criticism like this is actually damaging to young posters in this community. Saying things like "pretending to be a lurker" pushes people deeper into being lurkers out of fear that when they do finally post they will be attacked.

Tumblr is actually the most vicious website I've participated in. It's more of a shark tank than reddit is. Took me two weeks of being on there for someone ti scream READ WHIPPING GIRL at me and then block me
