Ahahhaa, what a relatable meme, because of the amount of sex that I have, because this meme is about sex, which I definitely have a lot of, so I am able to relate

This is a situation I only know about and relate to via memes and likely bears no resemblance to the corresponding real life situation. Call it a simulacum.

I don't know who these two are, but without the knowledge I can see me ignoring a red flag or two.

Joe Kucan, actor and director in the Command & Conquer franchise.

Kari Wuhr, she was like a Megan Fox of the 90's, and played Agent Tanya in Red Alert 2.

I'm becoming known as the annoying command & conquer guy on Lemmy, so I may as well take your question seriously and info dump.

It's mostly a black flag, but red is the secondary color.

Kinda surreal to see a huge franchise like CnC become obscure. Or was it never as popular as I thought it was? Seemed like everyone I knew was playing it during the RA2 era, but maybe that was just my friend group.

it was huge in the 90s and still pretty solid in the 00s, but it's been 14 years since the last game (which everyone hated). if we dont count the mobile game and the remasters it's no wonder there's no zeitgeist anymore edgeworth-shrug

im so old chomsky-yes-honey

[-] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 6 points 7 months ago

Yeah it's like someone going "Call of Duty? What's that?"

[-] GenderIsOpSec@hexbear.net 6 points 7 months ago

well if FPS games start their decline this decade in 15 years im sure we'll get those too sicko-satan

i dont think the FPS genre will ever reach that point though, unless something drastic happens and some other genre gobbles their market share

1st person is almost a medium onto itself

[-] AlexWIWA@lemmy.ml 5 points 7 months ago

It was popular for a PC game, but PC gaming was pretty niche back then.

I have noticed everyone my age seems to have played it, but 18 years without a good game is a long time

[-] doublepepperoni@hexbear.net 27 points 7 months ago

N-nostalgia Critic?! Why are you looking at me like that

[-] AlexWIWA@lemmy.ml 25 points 7 months ago

[-] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 9 points 7 months ago

actually Kane and Tanya as played by Wuhrer were never in the same game together since Kane never appeared in the Red Alert continuity after Red Alert 1.
