They better start leaving $20s between the cushions then because rent is outrageous.

Worst part is, despite all the creepy crawly, spiders are so darn good, they probably would pay rent if they could

The rent they pay is eating the various creepy crawlies that would otherwise draw in and be food for fuck massive house centipedes

It’d be so goddamn tragic if the disease that is the concept of “rent” had jumped species

They are diligent workers. They need not pay rent. I just need them to devour my enemies.

I live in the jungle... The cane spiders here pay their rent by murking the cockroaches that try to invade my house

That spider drawing looks like it would be worth about $233.95

no comrade earthling! You owe me nothing.

[-] bstix@feddit.dk 8 points 10 months ago

I let them be.

Spiders are cool in the way that you always have the same mass of spiders in your house.

You either have a lot of small ones or a few big ones. You can disrupt the balance of sizes by killing the big ones or by vacuuming the small ones, but at the end of the week the mass stays the same.

I'd be more worried if I didn't have spiders in my home. That only happens in environments that are also unsuitable for humans.

Good strategy in my opinion... The more spiders you see, the more spiders food you don't see

[-] herrcaptain@lemmy.ca 3 points 10 months ago

Ah, yes. The law of conservation of spiders.

Hate to be that guy but they don't pay you but the landlord. You are under obligation to pass it on. This can happen in form of a tip. You don't have to mark it as the spiders' tip, just make sure not to misappropriate anything.

well then I'm really glad that I never find stray coins laying around my domicile because it probably indicates reduced likelihood of insects and arachnid infestation.
