Apple suing Tesla for design theft would be moderately entertaining, I'll allow it.

Let them fight.

Does the one from Car Builder also mandate that you do not wash it in direct sunlight and does it come without crumple zones?

[-] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 40 points 7 months ago

Looking into it.

I tried washing it, even in the shade, but now the screen won't turn on.

Elon probably doesn't even remember when he was 12 years old and played this game

All those dumbass engineers futzing about with their aerodynamics testing when the entire field has been a solved issue has been solved by Apple II car builder

wake up windblown sheeple

Honestly the whole thing is funny in an unintentional way, critical support to Elon.

Buying a car that looks straight out of a ~~PS1~~ 80s mac game, that has uncovered stainless steel panels like the coked-out failed DeLorean, no crumple zones, a shatterproof window that shatters in the live demo, on top of the whole Tesla cult pay-pig thing is funny all around.

Usually things are focus-grouped, which is why all SUVs look the same. The cyber truck is the most likable thing Elon Musk has done in my eyes.

If it was slightly more competent I would actually want to drive a car that looks like a PS1 pre-render. But maybe I just watched too much ReBoot as a kid.

Taking the 'utility' argument is an interesting choice when the thing costs a fortune and requires constant cleaning due to the stainless steel panels

Elon simps are so strange. If they spend five grand (or whatever) to wrap it - they can get a color/pattern scheme of their liking. Sure - wrapping it might have its own issues but at least that improves a very bad situation in the short term. No sane person wants to be a slave to their truck because they have to busy themself babying, scrubbing, cleaning, and caring for the stainless steel all the time. But the greatest simps will brag that they will keep it unwrapped because that's how Elon sold it to them.

Elon - my lord and master - I am your most humble servant! Notice me!

The way the Apple II draws graphics is mesmerising to me. Stored instructions for funny lines, in some of the jankiest and harshest colour you have ever seen.

It's even cooler when you see it on a monitor that's green. It looks super retro. We had a few of them at my school growing up. Oregon Trail was a Mt Dew adventure.

Oregon Trail was a Mt Dew adventure.

they were predicting the future

[-] Tripbin@hexbear.net 9 points 7 months ago

probably where musk got the idea.

[-] tactical_trans_karen@hexbear.net 2 points 7 months ago

I'm going to posit that it's not probable, it's absolutely where he got the idea. He played with this when he was a kid and he's recovered the memories while faded on ketamine.
