The media is literally painting college campuses as war zones where jewish students are like killed on sight, even turbolib MSNBC is doing it.

They're really playing with fire. If news media keeps calling everything antisemitism, actual antisemitism is totally just going to fly under the radar. It's blatant propaganda and super irresponsible. Obviously those ghouls don't care if their lies get a thousand trans kids hurt, and maybe it's naive of me to think they'd at least try not to get more crowds of nazis chanting hate to Jews, but it always does surprise me that lib media falls in line so incredibly fast.

Real actual antisemitism has been fomenting quietly online for years and nobody gave a fuck but suddenly when people don't want to be genocided it's a problem.

The ADL has been showing their true colours and have been allowing Musk to let Nazis (and Musk himself) to post actual anti-Semitism while throttling anti-Zionist voices.

I really hope that this isn't the point of the propaganda, but between this and doing nothing with fascists, it wouldn't surprise me what-the-hell

[-] iridaniotter@hexbear.net 51 points 6 months ago

Nah, the point is clearly to leverage the seriousness of anti-Semitism in order to suppress anti-Zionism. That's just a side effect.

[-] Outdoor_Catgirl@hexbear.net 42 points 6 months ago

If antisemitism gets bad enough, some Jews will leave for Israel. Zionists definitely aren't against that happening.

[-] HumanBehaviorByBjork@hexbear.net 13 points 6 months ago

i mean the point of the propaganda is to suppress the movement for palestine

[-] Parzivus@hexbear.net 22 points 6 months ago

They don't care even a little lol

Eve Fartlow said the Columbia protest is worse than Charlottesville.

I'm losing my mind

[-] hexaflexagonbear@hexbear.net 64 points 6 months ago

Fascist thinks a left-wing protest is worse than a fascist one. More are 11.

[-] SacredExcrement@hexbear.net 39 points 6 months ago

How many people have been run over for protesting or being Jewish at Columbia? Still 0?

Ok.

[-] homhom9000@hexbear.net 12 points 6 months ago

In response, Don't speak too soon . The perceived, non-existent, murder is worse than the actual murder.

A graduate student named “Grant Miner” is one of the greatest aptonyms.

his parents looked at their baby and knew he was destined for academia

I, as a German-American, feel very unsafe when people around me say things like “Nazis are bad” or “The Third Reich was genocidal”.

[-] KoboldKomrade@hexbear.net 24 points 6 months ago

As an Italian American, I shake and cry everytime anyone posts my grandpa upside down. Leftists truly are the real terrors.

[-] BountifulEggnog@hexbear.net 21 points 6 months ago

Every time someone says "nazis are bad" I get even more scared and I think I might be forced to go join them.

BREAKING the media narrative

Grant Miner, local baker

Oh what the fuck I just assumed this was the Onion

[-] Owl@hexbear.net 12 points 6 months ago

Albert Butcher, local candlestick maker.

~~Doesn't feel safe while sitting alone right next to the protesters with no concerns~~

[-] PKMKII@hexbear.net 63 points 6 months ago

Read it again: it says he “doesn’t feel unsafe,” the most double negative ass way for the NYT to say he feels safe

[-] Spike@hexbear.net 45 points 6 months ago

NYT manages to find the worst way to write

[-] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 27 points 6 months ago

Haha. I made the same mistake at the OP. I entirely missed the "un".
