...most prominent opposition leader.

Doesn't the communist party there have a larger following?

US has a policy of pretending communists don't exist so people don't get any ideas about learning what communists support or think.

Yes. But they're commies, they don't count.

[-] Des@hexbear.net 27 points 1 year ago

nah we don't talk about them

News media always admits that the communists were correct but only after heavily pushing lies and letting the falsehoods fester in every libs mind for a few months

The atomic unit of propaganda isn't lies, it's emphasis.

The headline on reddit-logo

Kremlin Disputes Report Putin Didn’t Order Navalny’s Death

[-] SacredExcrement@hexbear.net 29 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

They really think Putin kills everyone who is mildly rude to him despite multiple opposition groups continuing to exist. He doesn't feel threatened by them (justifiably so), so why would he kill them and give the West and domestic groups even more reason to try and put him in the dirt? He may be a capitalist ghoul, but he isn't ignorant

But of course, reddit-logo maintains the longstanding paternalistic worldview that everyone who isn't a white European liberal is unfit to govern

"Did Putin order Navalny killed? The answer is yesn't."

Sounds like the US officials are in the bag for Putin maybe-later-kiddo smuglord

[-] Thordros@hexbear.net 17 points 1 year ago

Officials say Putin retains culpability for the death of his fiercest critic and most prominent opposition leader.

What the fuck does this mean? "He didn't have him killed, but he really wanted to, so it's still his fault."?
