but it did not announce any arrests.

Which probably means a cop did it.

They needed an excuse to buy new chargers and beat the homeless.

[-] Land_Strider@lemmy.world 12 points 6 months ago

Nah, that is a given at this point. They are looking for making a recent excuse for something shitty they will do or be exposed about soon.

Nah, it's just May Day in Portland...

Parked police cars on fire? Yes, I would also suspect arson.

Could have just been some acorns I think.

I appreciate the fair and balanced use of passive voice though.

I hate to break it to all you conspiracy nuts, but I read the police incident report and all the cars were known to have been feeling depressed in the days leading up to their suicide pact.

Case. Closed.

Ahhh. The annual May Day Lights of Portland.

It was pretty quiet here in Seattle. Went to a park with my kids and only saw a small housing protest. Considering the very decent affordable housing plan that the right wing city council just shot down, I'm surprised that protest was so quiet.

That's some great police work right there...

15 policecars burned this Thursday. Our investigators have concluded that this is not normal or natural so someone is behind this!

If it's not an act of god they've clearly already ruled out one suspect...

[-] DrDominate@lemmy.world 0 points 6 months ago

I don't think we can rule out god on this one, he may have a vested interest here.

Cop holding gasoline can near scene was quoted as saying, "why did antifahs do this to we humble public servants?"

[-] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 9 points 6 months ago

Was there any information about Boeing in the cars?

[-] Agent641@lemmy.world 7 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

"Arson suspected"

Are we sure they didnt just go on fire on their own?

[-] FakeGreekGirl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 6 months ago

What do you think they are? Teslas?

[-] FakeGreekGirl@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 6 months ago

Oh no!

Anyway...

[-] extant@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

Police: Oh no, now someone's going to buy us all new vehicles with taxpaper money which will be much larger and more comfortable!

Such a well thought out action. 🙄

[-] Madison420@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago

Last time this happened during protests it was cops doing it for that reason, it was tires iirc last time though which shows how shitty things are for two reasons. A. Policing b. That the state won't buy them tires but will buy them assault rifles and tanks.
