X is now a Right wing porn website.

Fun.

I wonder how long the credit card companies are going to allow it. It's always been Visa and Mastercard pulling out(lol) that's pressured other major websites to remove the sexual content.

Is it time to flood the site with Musk’s face photoshopped on random naked people, then?

[-] foggy@lemmy.world 39 points 5 months ago

I think it's time to create a bot that creates accounts that posts musks face photoshopped onto random naked people.

[-] RamblingPanda@lemmynsfw.com 13 points 5 months ago

Another job an AI has taken. Poor souls.

[-] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

And his mum.

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 47 points 5 months ago

so... he knows xvideos is already taken, right?

[-] RamblingPanda@lemmynsfw.com 8 points 5 months ago

Ok, how much? He's got plenty of sinks where that first one came from.

[-] DMBFFF@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

What you just posted might get the current owner(s) excited.

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 29 points 5 months ago

And there will be protections in place to prevent CSAM, right Elon? You'll be rehiring all the moderators you laid off?

[-] Nobody@lemmy.world 25 points 5 months ago

X has been toying with the idea of fully embracing adult content and has even planned a feature for adult creators that could position X as an OnlyFans rival. That plan was delayed, Platformer reported in 2022, after red-teaming flagged a seemingly insurmountable obstacle to the launch: "Twitter cannot accurately detect child sexual exploitation and non-consensual nudity at scale."

The new adult content policy still emphasizes that non-consensual adult content is prohibited, but it's unclear if the platform has gotten any better at distinguishing between consensually produced content and nonconsensual material. X did not immediately respond to Ars' request to comment.

Elon is tanking Xitter. It’s the only explanation.

[-] mightyfoolish@lemmy.world 10 points 5 months ago

I remember someone else saying that the reason for Elon and all the Saudi money going into Twitter was to ruin a chance for anything resembling an "Arab Spring" from happening again. I would imagine adding porn to Twitter would help with the cause. It's also why I think the government is weary of social media they can't control well such as Tiktok. They want to remove the collobration social media provides when it comes to telling the news.

[-] gedaliyah@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Only thing is that X is the 11th most popular social media. There's a reason the revolution is on telegram

[-] anarchrist@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 5 months ago

Idk maybe he's just sick of people going "🙄 lol ok" when he says X isn't a porn site?

[-] moon@lemmy.cafe 3 points 5 months ago

If rules aren't effectively enforced, then they simply don't exist. We'll predictably see tons of articles coming out soon saying the spike in child and non consent porn that is flooding the site.

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 20 points 5 months ago

Day 1 of sending Goatse directly to Elon Musk...

[-] Ioughttamow@kbin.run 17 points 5 months ago

Well, musk is an asshole, a boob, and a dick…

[-] PPQ@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago

And a cunt!

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 5 points 5 months ago

His family name comes from the constant cloud of smegma odor that hangs around them all... that's a verifiable fact.

[-] comador@lemmy.world 15 points 5 months ago

So TwitterX is the new 4Chan... oh how the mighty have fallen.

[-] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 6 points 5 months ago

THEN WHO WAS PHONE?? -Elon Musk, Probably

[-] Mora@pawb.social 12 points 5 months ago

I am out of the loop. Wasn't twitter already full of porn? What changed?

[-] Xatolos@reddthat.com 5 points 5 months ago

The difference is it's now officially allowed. While it was there, it was in a "grey" area.

[-] SeaJ@lemm.ee 8 points 5 months ago

Was it not allowed before? I may or may not have seen explicit tweets.

[-] cordlesslamp@lemmy.today 5 points 5 months ago

So..... old Tumblr is back?

Also, domain name check out.

[-] Sir_Kevin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 5 months ago

Funny, I thought it always had been.

Smart. Horrible, but smart.

Smart way to try and save his dying platform, and maybe even get people to pay.

Horrible because X has axed their moderation team and demonstrated an abysmal record moderating content. Add in the much higher stakes and complexity of moderating adult content and it's a recipe for disaster.

[-] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 6 points 5 months ago

You think it will offset the ad revenue and subscriber loss?

It seems like this will further shrink the company pretty rapidly, especially without content moderation.

[-] gedaliyah@lemmy.world 4 points 5 months ago

Could be? Hard to imagine tanking it much faster, but if anyone could pull it off...

[-] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 5 months ago

Seems to have a knack for it.

[-] Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 5 months ago

If by "save", you mean have payment processors pull out, I guess so?

[-] zabadoh@ani.social 1 points 5 months ago

Nice pussy!

[-] nul42@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 months ago

The domain name is appropriate.

[-] xc2215x@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago
