English major co-worker told me she really enjoys hearing me speak, my vocabulary and word choices are fun and interesting and she catches my literary quotes that I sneak into sentences and stuff. I speak a LOT like Matt Christman and did before I heard the guy, thats what hooks me in the first place. But yeah, it's nice to hear from a qualified person that my rhetoric skill is as high as I think it is. Also I've learned that you really don't need to learn much about English to get an English degree. Her Anglo Saxon etymology crushes mine but her Latin is trash, I think I can just figure those roots easier cause I also speak French but like, I'd expect someone formally educated to run circles around me but I've had to tell.her what words that I've used meant pretty often. Anyway, felt nice.

armor plate mechanics have gone from ruining COD's multiplayer to ruining its campaign as well. like i was expecting to hate the game's campaign because of political brainworms and the stupidest writing ever wrought by humans, not because i'm constantly getting cockblocked by 'heavy armor' enemies that completely interrupt the gameplay flow. like every single other enemy goes down in 2-3 shots but suddenly a guy that looks exactly the same as the other enemies (they all wear black tactical gear so at a distance they are all a black silhouette) takes 3 magazines of full auto headshots to put down. completely destroys any sense of flow or smooth movement through the environment and combat, you have to like dance around the heavy guy or play the peakaboo game with a piece of cover and reload between magdumps. literally the most annoying gameplay i have ever experienced, like its intentionally obnoxious. even aside from the realism aspect it just completely fucks the flow of the game, like even the halo games shield systems play better than this and i fucking hate halo.
