An easy sentiment for any Westerner to have as we haven't suffered settler colonialism in our own homes against ourselves. Much like Europe 'awoke' from the evils of Nazism (although not really), if a Western country suffered settler colonialism they would 'awaken' again and denounce it (although still practice neocolonialism).
