The children yearn for the mines
For the mins*
I like that it's so compressed you can't even see Herobrine anymore
I missed this game when it first came out, but my child heard a lot about it at school so we got it for him and I saw it was co-op so I was like, "cool, a game we could play together." Holy shit do I not understand this game at all. I beat all of base Elden Ring solo, no on-line help, but I die within the first ten minutes of being in this game. I'm guessing it's just something you have to be properly wired for or something and I am decidedly not.
It just teaches literally nothing in-game. You need to learn the crafting. Without learning the crafting you get nowhere, using the wiki as a companion is basically essential.
EDIT: Apparently the site let me make this post but won't let me make any others and continues to limit me.

You flew too close to the sun.
if you wait a while the limit should decay, for me it took about ten minutes
Ironically thats what made minecraft youtubers so popular, the fact you had to go online to learn how to do anything in the damn game lol
Man, OK. This makes me feel a little better haha
When I first started playing tutorial videos were pretty much mandatory its not really something you can learn organically.

This series is what i followed from the start. Ahhhh the memories
It's a very easy game when you know what you're doing, but yeah if you have no items and don't know how to get started making them then the monsters that spawn in dark areas will probably fuck you up lol
They also made the game significantly harder in 2016, pretty much requiring you not only to figure out how to craft items, but also how to get a steady supply of food. Again, still an easy game, just one you need a bit of knowledge to get started in.
Ask your kid to teach you how to make a sword (from the beginning, he might just show you the crafting recipe and that wouldn't be very helpful, you'll wanna know how to gather the materials and make the crafting table too) and farm and cook potatoes or bread and that should pretty much be the baseline required to play the game, at that point it really opens up and you can start exploring and teaching yourself.
(If your kid is really young and doesn't know how to do all that either, then let me know and I'll give you the minimal-spoiler starter tutorial :D)
in 2016
Nah no way it was far earlier than that.
Beta 1.8, released September 2011. https://minecraft.wiki/w/Java_Edition_Beta_1.8 you can see hunger under additions
Fuck this game is old now
2016 was full release 1.9, called the "combat update" where food was turned into a fundamental component of the combat rather than just a background chore, shields were added, attack cooldowns were added, and axes were turned into a viable alternative weapon.
Nah you just have to google how to do everything as it doesn’t teach you how to play.
It’s an amazing game though and the possibilities are endless and people make some crazy things. Like a functioning computer inside Minecraft, a neural network inside Minecraft, or just crazy creative builds.
lol artifacting almost makes it look like eyes hiding in the fog.
I’m sure it’s nothing
i have been seeing some strange pyramids in game that are seriously creeping me out though.
im sure its fine.
