Idk why, but the red coloring of his eyes make him look really demonic

[-] sigmaklimgrindset@sopuli.xyz 16 points 2 weeks ago

Marie de Medici would probably agree with you.

Humans have advanced far but hardly changed.

Why do they look like monsters I would have to face in a Resident Evil game?

[-] Cethin@lemmy.zip 12 points 2 weeks ago

Well, knowing Catholicism, I would bet on him being a monster. Most likely worse than the ones in RE.

Japanese young adult media takes a lot of inspiration from religion, including old european one. Just how many times do you have to kill god in japanese games..

I think they look like really cute kitten.

Is that a bed pan filled with milk? That's naaasty

[-] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 24 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

That's definitely NOT a bedpan, it's way too shallow. I've seen pewter bowls shaped like that for displaying fruit, but in my head canon it's for Communion wafers.

Here's a similar one: https://amusespot.com/products/wide-rimmed-bowl-by-match-pewter?variant=37212784522

I mean if they don’t use it for anything else it’s just a funky food bowl for the cats

Cardinal Richelieu, the antagonist of The Three Musketeers?

[-] njm1314@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago

Pretty sure he's considered the antagonist for basically almost half a century of History too

[-] WeaselOne@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

I swear I didn't know that he was real.

[-] Moah@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

No wonder the musketeers kept getting away with it

[-] Akasazh@feddit.nl 5 points 2 weeks ago

The mouseketeers, however...
