On the one hand, I am concerned about his basic fitness for office. But on the other hand, I am also concerned that the competent lady who has been in office for the past four years may not totally agree with me on everything. How can I possibly choose between them?

Political violence is an inevitability. It's up to us to ensure we get the best possible type of violence.
For a lot of them, I don't think it goes any farther than: "Yeah he says things I don't necessarily agree with, but groceries are more expensive than ever and I just want things to be different."
I saw something a few weeks ago that went something like "People really about to elect a fascist who wants to terminate the constitution just to shave $0.50 off the price of eggs."
Really, it should have been "because they think he'll shave $0.50 off the price of eggs.", because he doesn't have a policy plan to tackle inflation. He doesn't have a plan at all aside from staying out of prison.
The media isn't pounding Trump about his age like they did Biden every single day for weeks.
Billionaire owners want Trump so they have put their weight on the scale months ago.

Kinda, but the lines between monarchy and fascism are far thinner - and blurrier - than you might be willing to see.
There are sacrosanct barriers against what our founding fathers fought for freedom against, even a litany of monographs and treatises, that directly and loudly proclaim that what Trump is doing is in direct opposition to it.
But, sadly, the dumbest and most hateful among us will exercise their voice in unison— but there are more of us than them. The problem is getting everyone to vote. So do what you can to convince people to vote. And make sure that you vote too!

Actually no. The article is a “water is wet” piece. Nobody has changed their opinion since yesterday.
I have been concerned about his fitness for office since always.
This is one of those times where it doesn't matter. At this stage, they're gonna vote for him anyway.
In Texas this election cycle terrified me, it is far different than any previous cycle I've voted in here, even when required to vote in person during COVID. Some of the measures implemented at state level really change the experience of voting. The candidate order is simply based on the governor's party, so always Republican first. And while standing in line the Dallas Morning News was handing out their recommendations for how to vote on the propositions. By only handing out their proposition recommendations and not endorsing a presidential candidate this cycle it hid the fact that they're a conservative publication, and likely fooled a number of left leaning folks to vote against their own interest on the already poorly summarized propositions.
Trump is certainly a part of this problem but it's much, much, deeper than that.
The question is which Americans are increasingly concerned about his age and fitness. Only those who already think he's politically unfit for office, or a significant number of his supporters and those sitting on the fence as well?
Oh, it is already that time of the week where the media pushes this as new information?
Wake me up when his drafty attic actually results in removal from the Republican ticket or breaks through the Republican voter information blockade.
This headline and article is bullshit. Yeah being that old is a negative. But look at Bernie, he would have been just fine when he ran.
The real and glaring issue is Trump himself. Full stop.
