Why is Hitler censored? It’s his name, just use it.
I don't know about tik tok ( cause it's shit) but on YouTube if you say hitler you can be demonetized
From what I’ve heard, Tik Tok is pretty aggressive with its bans for things it considers inappropriate
yeah it even shadowbans videos with the word lesbian
Wut?
What if we are just talking about the good Dr Gay Hitler?
I'm with you. I read an article about how people have started to self-censor way more, and it leads to weird behavior like this.
Imagine "censoring" Hitler's name. That's some tiktok-ass shit
That's because this is literally a screen cap of a TikTok post.

Hitler was a mediocre painter who never had a chance. His perspective was strong, but he never developed the ability to capture the human form and he was profoundly inflexible. Many have pointed out his dismissal of abstraction, but in the interwar period many artists were returning to classicism (see Picasso's neoclassical period from 1917-1925). What kept Hitler from achieving success in art was Hitler. He didn't need any help being an arrogant little shit.
It's because this guy modified the art ! The dude throw us into the darkest timeline !
Is there a particular reason they censored the word Hitler?
Did they not want to anger modern day fascists that run whatever website that was originally posted on?
Hitler isn't a word that should ever be censored, what he did and who he was should never be watered down or brushed under the rug.
TikTok censors stuff like this. So people self-censor, and it bleeds over onto other platforms.
Just another wonderful thing from TikTok...
That platform is fucked so glad I don’t use it
I wish I could say no one I know uses it, but sadly everyone I know seems to.

CP has been around as a term a lot longer than tiktok has existed, which makes sense because who wants to say "child porn"
Did they not want to anger modern day fascists that run whatever website that was originally posted on?
More likely just trying not to get cancelled by reactionaries for some dumb shit so they just censor anything that might make anyone uncomfy.
There are neo libs who censor anything that could be slightly offense on certain platforms.. Hitler included.
Time traveller: I did it boss, I killed Hitler!
Boss: thats weird, the future didnt change. Are you sure?
TT: Yep he was in a concrete room full of swastikas sitting next to a dead dog and lady. Shot him right in the head.
Can you please explain your comment? I don't get it.
He killed Hitler right before Hitler was going to suicide himself in his bunker.
Or, he was always the one that killed Hitler, we always just assumed he committed suicide...
Thank you

Just wondering, why do we censor regular ass words, and names now?
certain sites reduce your ability to be seen in the algorithm if you swear and/or use 'forbidden' words -- twitter does this [started doing this? it feels like a musk change, ironically] where if there's a curse word, it's automatically hidden under the 'show more replies' button and usually gets less engagement. it's really sick and weird and puritanical.
oddly, saying hitler doesn't mean i support hitler.
Yeah, considering most of the time that name is typed in a post, it's not to applaud that person.
No Hitler doesn't necessarily mean the Nazis don't rise to power or even prevent the Holocaust. While he is and was obviously central to everything about the Nazi Germany that came to exist, he wasn't a singularity, Julius Streicher could probably have slid into Hitler's role pretty easily had a few cards fallen differently.
Edit: and just to be clear I'm still fine with going back and killing Hitler, we just might have to make more than one trip if we want to fully prevent the crimes of the Nazis
Me reading Hitler’s Wikipedia page after going back in time to kill Karl Liebknecht and prevent WW2
Make sure you get Reinhard Heydrich while you’re at it
Imma be honest. I've seen some of hitlers early works, and damn was he talented.
Idk about that. I think they're more like, "Geez if only there was some place he could learn to do this better."
So I step out of the timeline for just one afternoon in order to see the Nicolas Cage as Superman movie from Timeline 23133-BD
And I find that we are having to repeat the transgender rights movement of the 40s, because apparently someone change the timeline so now the German sex researched Institute was burned down by fascists, preventing that from ever happening.
I'd go back and fix your mistake, but now I can't get more plutonium for my Tucker (which is now a thing called a Delorean for some reason) it used to be available in every corner drugstore. But thanks to the meddling you did to get out of art class, apparently America dropped something called the atomic bomb on some Island near Asia.... Now everyone thinks radiation is scary..
On that note, what the hell is anime and why does everyone keep talking about it?
