I thiiiink she's good? For context, my cat was eight years old when I found her living outside, and it's been a rough transition to being an indoor cat. I've catified the apartment as much as legally possible, and she gets plenty of attention when I'm home, but I'm not home for half the day, and she pretty much always cries at the door.

I set a rule for myself, no gym after work. If I can't make it to the gym in the morning, no gym for me.

I think it's helped her because I'm home at close to the same time every day, and I get to take her out in her harness during the daylight. (She prefers night but I don't last as long because it's freezing and the neighbors probably think I'm a creep.)

She's still fussy but she seems a lot less stressed the past couple days. She even slept through the night beside me without waking up to yowl and tear up the carpet at 3am 🥰

Met a cute wet Goldie looking for their owner, thankfully a number was on the name tag, guy on the phone made it sound like it wasn't the first time their dog went on an adventure. Loved dogsitting for 5 minutes but now I smell wet dog lol

Started dementia treatment for my elderly guy who was diagnosed with this last week, maybe it's just wishful thinking but he seems clearer already and a little less restless. Doesn't have that lost look on his face, so hopefully this helps him have some comfort. The other one is as full of piss and vinegar as always, and made me wrestle a frozen wad of waxed paper he found on the ground while on a walk yesterday out of his mouth, which he thinks is totally hilarious. Very funny dog.

Right now Kika be like: "meeeOOOWWW MEOOOOWWW MEOOOOOWWWW" (translation: "I hunts and you sees my prey!"). It's a bit annoying but I'm glad that such an old kitty still has the energy to play.

Siegfrieda found her newest sleeping spot: inside the kitchen cabinet. I'm not a fan of the idea but... meh, I gave up telling her to get out.
