Clover is a great companion plant for grasses! The flowers attract pollinators, the broad low-lying leaves reduce moisture loss from the soil, and they affix nitrogen. Also the entire plant is edible.

A friend gave me a pound bag of clover seed that I've sprinkled over patches of dirt at the house. It doesn't look at good as yours, but it's better than dirt and dandelions

Just give it time. This has taken over a year of my previous property manager being gone and not constantly mowing.

We also didn't even need to spread seed we just stopped mowing and this is how it is naturally now.

I love the clover in my yard. Get loads of bees during the warm months and it grows way better than grass does in most spots.
