i hate to be the lathe guy, but i guaran-goddam-tee the recognized moment of american implosion is going to pop off with a federal government shutdown. the libs will come to the table to fund "essential" services like prisons, the surveillance/intelligence/natsec people, the enforcement arm of the FBI, and the military and then act baffled when the chuds refuse to come to the table after that, ever again, effectively obliterating every other federal program. they chuds will have backdoored in the exact government they've always wanted, and the only money flowing through the state will be for cops and national guard troops to shoot strikers and protestors.
