What is that one video game cheat code you'll never forget about?

I'll start us off with the classic "Explode All Cars" cheat from the classic 2004 game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, as that is one that I remember using a lot for no rhyme or reason:

R2, L2, R1, L1, L2, R2, SQUARE, TRIANGLE, CIRCLE, TRIANGLE, L2, L1

Down up left left A right down to get the cheat menu on Mortal Kombat on the Sega Megadrive.

On Revenge of Shinobi set the number of shurikens on the Options screen to 0 and wait 20 seconds. The zero turned into an infinity symbol, giving you unlimited shurikens.

The one from the sims I it was “katching” one and the other was “motherlode” maybe the spelling is not correct but I will never forget those codes.

Surprised nobody mentioned "motherlode".

Something like 50k simoleons in The Sims 2. Absolutely essential to any save file.

Porkcharsui in the original pc version of Grand Theft Auto. If you named your character this, you had an overlay with coordinates so you could find your way easier, you'd get all the guns and the possibility to toggle a kind of sped up mode.

Oh and howdoiturnthison in Age of Empires 2 to get an AC Cobra with machine guns

I remember the cheat but not the exact game lol. Definitely Sega Mega Drive though.

ABRACADABRA (R for d-pad right, D for d-pad down).

Going by a Google search it could've been Vectorman or Ecco 2. Or both because I played both a lot back then.

[-] Cysioland@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 10 months ago

Shift+Control+B (in the Polish version), then klapaucius/rosebud from The Sims and you could do rosebud;!;!;!;!;!;!;!;, it would error out because of the trailing semicolon, but still add money to your account, so you just held down Enter until you were satisfied with the amount of cash in your account
