Maybe they implemented something in the brain to censor the detection of the collars and tags, similarly to how selfie sticks camera automatically remove the stick from pictures.

There was one study I vaguely remember reading of, where tagged birds of a certain species were seen as more desirable mates. So the scientists had to change their tagging style. They'd accidentally invented a new bird fashion.

Radiocokkars and Eartags are probably the future of US citizens, but not by aliens. I think more of neuralink, implanted by default on the newborns.
