I am once again asking you to play The Outer Wilds.
If you've already played it you may choose to ignore this.
When FF7 Rebirth had no caves behind the beautiful waterfalls they worked hard on, I felt the devs were trolling us. 
They were obviously trolling us - very explicitly with the chicken quest in Gongaga. Had a good laugh. They knew what they were doing.
When it doesn't have it: 😡 Why game not reward me for checking
When it's there: 😴 Why game so unoriginal
When there's a subversive form behind the waterfall that makes me question the conventions of the medium and genre:
