Homemade chips rock. Get some powdered salt and vinegar flavoring and they're god tier.

I just wish they weren't still unhealthy.

Yes and no. Hexbear as a political project is more or less dead. It's been that way since the first year or so. It's more or less just a club for commie shitposting now. I used to do organizing/theory on Hexbear, now I just use it for non-political posting.

Hexbear, barring some huge shift, will stay around this size for the next few years and experience a slow decline until shutdown. It is a site just past its peak experiencing a slow fall to obscurity that all things must go through eventually.

Don't tell me what to do.

What's the chance this is a translation thing and he's talking about offering war bonds?

A teacher shouldn't be held to a different moral standard from any other adult.

Yes they absolutely should. If you're going to be in close contact with children as an authority figure then you need to be held to a higher moral standard.

How about this:

A cop shouldn't be held to a different moral standard from any adult.

Why can't a public role model also be a model on OnlyFans? The only reason you would think that those two things are incompatible is if you think that there is something morally wrong with one of them

Being an OnlyFans model is not a moral wrong, but the industry of modern pornography is absolutely incompatible with a moral society.

You are an adult, at the very least you have your defined sexuality. Imagine a child's first experience with sexuality being porn of their teacher. We all know that porn dehumanizes women, but imagine how it will affect children when that person is someone they know in real life?

No one did anything morally wrong here. But you have to prioritize the protection of the children or the teacher. I choose the children, you choose the teacher. What conclusion you get from this is up to you.

So why should a teacher be fired from their job if their students decided to sexualize them and actively search for pornography that they might be in?

Hot take, elementary school kids shouldn't be held to the same standards of adults. They shouldn't have access to pornography and they especially shouldn't have access to pornography of people they know in real life.

This isn't a blame game, it's about who gets to be protected. The teacher being fired is not saying she did a moral wrong. It's saying I prefer for a classroom of children to avoid any chance of seeing porn of their teacher. If we could guarantee that only adults could access her onlyfans, then it would be different.

You either protect the teacher, or the classroom of children. Neither did anything wrong but you should choose to protect the children in this case.

It is kinda cool that modern day video game lobbies are unironically more LGBTQ+ friendly so that racist dipshits get bullied out of them.

Kids today would not only survive COD lobbies but they'd be bullying the shit out of the loser with 3 frags screaming the n-word.

I did too but only because the Crusader's Crossbow can destroy cocky snipers in long range and most classes at medium.

A single-player fantasy game with no skill points/upgrades beyond equipment. I want the entirety of the progression to be the skills of the player. You end up losing fights to more than one goblin at a time, but then you learn to start dealing with groups. A long enough time pasts and you're slaughtering hordes of enemy like clockwork. But if someone took control of your character they'd still lose to a goblin or two.

I want something where split second reaction times and skill determine how a fight goes. Both me and the enemy should be able to kill each other in 2-3 seconds given the right circumstances. I want extremely punishing mechanics for both enemies and the player. Something like a first-person Hotline Miami but with really good swordplay.

I've been with hexbear since the days of r/chapotraphouse so I've seen the site at its best and worst.

The main issue imo is that hexbear has a very "vibe-based" culture. What is correct in any given post is less a question of truth and more a question of what the first few commenters opinions on the matter were. You can be flamed for opinions in one thread but then have those opinions widely accepted a week later because the vibe was different that day. Hexbear is far too focused on dunking libs that discussion becomes a way to blow off steam rather than actually understand something.

They're still better imo than most of lemmy though. At least I don't have to re-defend my first principles of "nazis bad" every post. But sometimes you do get flamed for reasonable opinions because the post had different vibes. You go to hexbear because you want to talk about politics but you stay because you find it cozy. Anyone who cares about the politics surrounding Hexbear is going to have a bad time.

I usually don't give a shit but getting a good brand of running shoes does help a lot on my jogs. Otherwise, it's what's on sale at Shoe Carnival.
