Most countries did try to prevent the plague slightly more than the US did. The "shutdown" was probably more about schools being closed for a few weeks/months and young men getting turned insane by youtube propaganda / anti-woke grifters.
Copenhagen has decent public transport, as long as you don't mind the trains being old and half the signaling systems not working. The modal share is quite low for cars because Copenhagen is flat (and compact enough) that you can basically bike anywhere within 30 minutes (as long as you live in Copenhagen). This is also changing however, as property prices have been skyrocketing since 2008 (but really kicked into overdrive in 2020) and people are slowly being priced out of living within reasonable biking distance. Thus, biking to work has now taken on a class characteristic, which nobody in this place is talking about.
Also, there is supposed to be some new tramlines being openened in early 2025, which I'm looking forward to.
Having the Red Army located in Eastern Germany surely also helped make the prospect of revolution go from specter to reality.
I honestly kind of liked that DR didn't treat this as anything serious when the story first broke. Since it's the same shit that he normally says, only this time it's written in whatever that Microsoft product that allows you to make flyers is called, it doesn't feel newsworthy to me. Also big fan of his "Stand with Israel because no one else in this country will do it" that he constantly uploads to his social media, while our fascist-lite SocDem is using the opening speech of the parliament to commemorate the real victims of the last year, which are the 200 danish jews that somehow all of our politics have to revolve around.
The fucking Danish State Broadcaster did a segment on that fucking shitty propagandafest and somehow noone questions that if your job is to be a journalist, being invited to a cordial dinner by the guy you're supposed to "hold accountable" isn't actually a sign that you're doing a good job. Not to mention, all the danish journalists reporting on the dinner were fawning over themselves to find enough positive terms for "Biden used humour on the journalists by being funny"
I'm technically GenZ (born in late 90's) and graduated university in 2021. I landed my first job in January 2022 and managed a grand total of 1 paycheck before the massive inflation happened when Europe decided to commit economic suicide. Felt REALLY good to finally join the workforce after being a struggling student and then immediaely getting it taken away from me, since inflation more or less eroded all the purchasing power I had gained by going from student to worker.
The only way Biden gets tanked by his actions abroad is if he is perceived as "having lost" the war in question. Hogs fucking hate it when the savages don't just die quietly, and the election is only 10 months away , so that probably makes it unlikely that Yemen can tire the Great Satan and Slightly smaller Satan out before the election. Though I guess the firing upon shipping lanes will continue to be a drain on the economy, but those costs can always be passed on to the consumers, and nobody gives a shit about those.
It's legit just a meat-industry PsyOp that resulted in it becoming such a meme.
Misread that as Catholic Evil and somehow thought that sounded fine. It did give me a new idea for my next DnD game though.
Is that the tank that is so heavy that it has to function as a submarine if Ukraine is ever going to cross a body of water wider than a stream?
Also, Russia never demolished their old war-production facilities. They just privatised a bunch of them, which meant that at the start of the war, when Putin realized that the war would drag on, he could just take back the factories and begin hiring people to work in them, which solved another of Russia's chronic issues since the 1990s, which is high unemployment.
