This is the neoliberal defense of migrants as humans. They produce things for the treatler economies, and thus they shouldn't all be round up and put into gaschambers. It is also a losing argument, as the far right doesn't give a shit about the economy at large and just wants death

NYC is heavily democrat, but they used to love electing republican mayors, particularly if the suburbanites get scared about "crime" or terrorism. Remember that they had both Rudy Gulliani (back when his brain kind of worked) and Mike Bloomberg (back when he was a republican) within the past couple of decades.

Totally agree on PET being incompetent idiots, but when has the American Empire ever demanded that the comprador intelligence agencies be good at their jobs? They mostly just have to be loyal and willing to shed blood upon command, which both the Danish and Baltic services have shown themselves as.

https://www.aclu.org/cases/al-aulaqi-v-panetta-constitutional-challenge-killing-three-us-citizens

The Awlaki family sued Leon Panetta for his involvement in the killing of both Anwar (the father suspected of being an Al-qaeda leader in Yemen) and Abdulrahman (the 17-year old American citizen and son of Anwar)

The judge more or less found that there is nothing in American constituional law that prevents the president from declaring people to be terorrist and then killing them, even if they're American citizens, minors, or located in a country that isn't at war with the US

Doesn't Hebrew write like Arabic, where you can just leave out certain vowels, which fucks with a lot of the translation software? In this case, I don't know enough about Hebrew to tell if it distinguishes between U and O in a loanword like Columbia.

Are the German banks / financial institutions able to wield any real power in comparison to the manufacturing giants? I was under the impression that ever since the whole Greek bailout crisis, the German government has been much less responsive to the rumblings of the financial press compared to the big manufacturing companies, since they employ a lot more people and contribute more to the german economy.

The guy is a notorious league of legends streamer named Tyler1. Because his chat has been bullying him for years that he is short, he was at an event and they put the host on some kind of stilt.

Nah, Trump being NATO leader would have just shifted the burden more towards Europe than it already was. Making useless grandstanding arguments against Donald Trump was like, every EU leaders favorite action during his presidency.

Everything about the Red-Greens is disappointing. I might just vote for my local communist party next time, and just accept the fact that there can be no hope through parliament. k-pain

Supposedly Mao's book on guerilla warfare has been intensely studied in the millitary academies of the US since at least the Afghanistan invasions. The fact that the officer corps doesn't seem to internalize litterally any part of it is another problem.

I remember the one day long thread about circumcission, mostly because I was pretty active in that thread and because there was 1 user who just could not get it through his head what I was saying. I kept trying to be respecful and explain to him why his sources were probably not very good, but the guy just would not stop posting. I think I spent an entire work day just replying to that one guy, which isn't exactly my proudest moment on this site, but I genuinely thought I had to push back, because I thought I was the only danish person still active and the guy kept bringing up danish politicians.
