Google is going to start purposefully mistranslating Hebrew into English because Israelis can't stop being so blatantly racist on twitter
They'll use Gemini to translate text from Hebrew and tell it to make it racially tolerant, kinda like how image prompts get some keywords added to nod them into sometimes generating PoC.
For a moment I was perplexed by the mention of riots in Colombia, like why does this Israeli person have a take on a South American country, and who is Omar?
Doesn't Hebrew write like Arabic, where you can just leave out certain vowels, which fucks with a lot of the translation software? In this case, I don't know enough about Hebrew to tell if it distinguishes between U and O in a loanword like Columbia.
I assumed that's what happened, yeah. It was just funny to be confused about what does a tweet in Hebrew have to do with Colombia, the country.
