Mrs. Maisel is one of the funniest shows I've seen.
Knowing how your life is being governed is a luxury.
The electoral reform lie was especially heinous. It's not your average political lie, it was THE central pillar of his campaign. It had massive support from liberals and progressives and was why they swept up so handily that election. Comparing that to silly small campaign promises is disingenuous.

It's certainly an essential piece of the puzzle, but without the other puzzle pieces it is only going to have a minimal effect and is easy to abuse. Better than nothing nothing though, it won't be a wasted effort if it passes, it just won't fix anything or curb rent prices on the whole. But it will help people out here and there.
I could but I'd rather not. With a controller in one hand and a mouse in the other there aren't many buttons near my fingers, I'd have to let go of one to do some stuff anyway for some functions. Plus it makes UI glyphs flash between keyboard and controller which is irritating.
As would FFXIV.
I'm not a comic book guy, but I like superman movies. Who's Mr. Terrific?
Disabled people dying means a smaller tax burden. That boon can be turned into corporate subsidies or tax cuts.
Like the one I see regularly? Or every single one I've seen before them, or the psychology researchers from the study I was in, or my friends in the field, or the hundreds of scientific articles deliniating exactly that and the physiology and psychology behind it? You actually have to look for something before you publicly declare it's not there.

I am talking about OP's idea of using lasers instead Nukes, nukes are fine, they fit the theme of 50s/60s geopolitical allegories rather perfectly. Using hard sci fi logic on a space opera sounds like an exercise in insanity, but OP is free to drive themself mad however they like. It's Lemmy, we're all mad in one way or another.
Well that's just not true. You don't just rename it to .exe and it will work on PC. The already made multiplayer will look for non-existent hardware, using obsolete and insecure methods to secure to a service that no longer exists on a completely different operating system. They would not only need to completely rewrite the client side net code from scratch, they'd have to write their server side code from scratch too, on top of paying a massive monthly fee to AWS or whatever to host it. Adding multiplayer won't convince enough additional people to buy it to offset these costs; almost everyone is buying this game for the single player. Adding multiplayer means less profit and more delays.
