With each lazy and unnecessary cash grab remaster we move closer to the day a remaster announcement is made at the end of a game's release trailer.
Not included in the headline: new players will now only be matched with other new players until they achieve 4 wins. I don't think this patch will have completely solved matchmaking (since they already admitted last week that MMR was not working well and that wasn't addressed) but I think stuff like this, the behaviour system and low priority queue will have a great impact that was sorely needed.
Well, both things are true I would say. A lot of the racism and misogyny stems from genuine beliefs (there's plenty of evidence of that from his time before politics).
But he is also a pathological liar who has never had any regard for the truth, and never had any issue spouting wild lies about anything. I don't believe for a second that he wants to save anyone from anything. He is a malignant narcissist that wants only three things: adoration, attention and power - probably in that order.
Having seen some of it, it was somehow both surprisingly boring and more unhinged than usual. Complete deranged Fox News grandpa hours.
I think Trump is really starting to look old, you know? When in front of a crowd he can feed off of you notice it less - but even then you can go back and compare to 2016. And stuff like this and the Elon call just has him looking old and slow.
Also, the new prices won’t actually take effect until Jan. 1, 2026.
...
Even figuring out the magnitude of the likely savings could be difficult, or at least take some time. The newly negotiated prices for these 10 drugs are going to be much lower than the official list prices, but Medicare insurers already get discounts on those prices for their customers. And those discounts are proprietary information.
Yeah I think such a distant change will be hard to spin into meaningful voter opinion. Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels a little too small and abstract to have a big impact.
Spoiler candidates are mostly bad news for Democrats, but I can't imagine many people who would be swayed by a Joe Rogan endorsement would have voted (D} anyway.
Brain worms recognise brain worms.
It is definitely a smart move. But still, maybe we can retire the Asylum Demon?
Tough call since they're kind of diametrically opposite each other as RPGs go.
Disco Elysium is an interactive novel. If you treat it as such and delve into it committing to their fail-forward design philosophy and unafraid of picking weird dialogue options it is incredibly rewarding. I have not been moved like I was by DE by any other videogame.
Pirating or buying is a coin flip. I hate that Kurvitz, Rostov and Hindpere were forced out of the company and the IP stolen from them. Still, they were not the only ones in the studio working on the game so buying it still gives some money to some of the creators. I think you can justify either decision morally. And yes, the Final Cut is the version you want.
Another, related issue to this is that I find the three frontpage categories (All/Local/Subscribed) to be too blunt of a sorting method.
I would really love if we had the option to create subcategories to our Subscribed feed, so we could group related communities and end up with different frontpages for News/Sports/Memes etc.
I think it's also a happy accident that Lemmy sounds like "let me", so you get community names like Lemmy Shitpost, or Lemmy Be Wholesome.
I really really hope they don't get discouraged. They would have done so much better had it only been on Steam, please Remedy don't change your ways.
Also it should have been GotY last year, fight me.
