His followers don't care. They probably didn't even watch the debate anyway, and even if they did it's been abundantly clear for years now that millions of Americans - for some inexplicable reason - will choose to believe Trump's words over the evidence of facts, their own memories and even their own direct sensory input.
Having the game streamed by all these huge channels before it's even officially announced is kinda crazy. Everyone wants to play Valve's "secret game" of course, so it's free marketing. Pretty clever.
Considering one of The Lincoln Project's favourite tricks is targeted ad buys in Florida and New Jersey on Fox when Trump is golfing at Mar A Lago/Bedminster I wouldn't put it past them to put part of it in their next attack ad.
"We're not going back" is an incredible slogan, probably the most effective and catchy in American politics since "Yes, we can!". I hope they get even better at incorporating it at their rallies, the crowds love chanting it and you can feel how it energises them.
A shout-out also has to be made about leaning into the "campaign of joy" concept. I don't know if it was Walz again or a campaign strategist, but it's not just brilliant on its own (as contrast to Trump's dour fear-mongering and doomsaying) - it's also the perfect response to the right's attempted attacks at Kamala smiling and laughing too much. Remember when that was a thing? Me neither. They turned an angle of attack into one of their biggest assets.
Her campaign has been on point so far.
It really is equal measures sad and frightening the amount of leeway mainstream media gives Trump. If they can't actively call him out, live fact-check him and ask follow-up questions then is it too much to ask for them to at least accurately describine his words and deeds? This normalization of absurdity is doing him a significant favour.
You do not want to get into a normal-off with Walz, but I sure hope Mr Vance keeps trying.
Walz would be good, just please don't pick Shapiro. Can we avoid shooting ourselves in the foot for once? We've got a good thing going with Kamala.
Probably rug burn from the couch cushions.
Republicans being unable to stop themselves from being racist and sexist might well play in Harris' favour here. The vast majority of racists and sexists were going to vote for Trump anyway, but this type of approach and messaging might alienate some moderate undecided voters.
Just hours after she announced her candidacy, Trump’s super PAC released an ad attacking Harris, claiming she “covered up Joe’s obvious mental decline” and that she “knew Joe couldn’t do the job, so she did it” herself.
Is this really the own he thinks it is? By most measures the Biden/Harris term has been fairly successful so giving your opponent credit for the lions share of that work is certainly an interesting strategy. And the coverup is a fairly toothless accusation since Biden actually stepped down in time.
...putting microtransactions, paid character edit vouchers, Denuvo, and anti-cheat into a $70 single player only game
This reads like satire wtf
Don't know what you're celebrating, the more time he spends with her the better as she's both terrible and unpopular.
