Basically this. I've never felt like attending a protest as an individual to educate others did anything. I was one tiny voice against the cacophony of "we must vooooooote".

Going with an organization is the only way I can think of to have the numbers to signal to these people that there is a viable alternative. One person is a crank and can be dismissed, but a disciplined cohort might have a point. Because the ugly truth is a lot of people operate on peer pressure and group dynamics more than ideology.

I think many people turn to the status quo out of despair. " if you can't beat them, join them". It's dreaming too small.

I do aspire to reincarnate as a bird. To be cute and to have this rizz

Look, Shrek 1 is great, Shrek 2 is OK, but I don't recognize any other Shreks. With just 2 movies that are both over a decade old there isn't that much new to discuss.

I don't fear their "magic" so I'm probably not magicphobic

I salute you for not kiling them. Especially with the collapse of the biosphere tanking bug populations, every bug life is precious and we should be doing what we can to keep their populations going.

I think bugs are generally cute little friends and we should never deliberately harm them unless they're trying to drink our blood. Sometimes they wander into our houses and need help finding their way back outside.

Seriously, if you can take the time to look at them close up or watch macro videos of them they have so much adorableness to offer. The way they preen their little antennae is so cute. And rub their forelimbs together. And their eyes and faces are just instant oxytocin.

They're like little fairies. They aren't our enemies, they're fellow living beings but they're not capable of being evil the way fascists are. Love the bugs. Protect the bugs. Respect the bugs.

a medical or surgical grade mask for the purpose of preventing the spread of contagious disease,

OK cool that's why people wear masks so doesn't that nullify the entire bill? Making the entire bill pointless and toothless anyway?

Before covid I wore bandannas at protests to hide my face. After covid I've worn respirators at protests to prevent a disabling disease from spreading to or from me.

stanning a rich powerful white failson is never not cringe. I've been assuming every single person who does so is at near lethal levels of irony-poisoning.

Al Gore got a participation trophy

Yep. We in the west never even had a thorough lockdown and the capitalists acted like it was the end of the world. The Covid pandemic is still raging, killing people and leaving the survivors with debilitating Long Covid, but the capitalists just want to let it rip because actually addressing the pandemic requires too much change. Some of us will die, but that's a price the overlords are willing to pay to keep themselves on top.

There's no way they take bird flu seriously

Yeah. When chuds are chuds I can scare them off with open hostility. On some level they seem to know they had it coming.

When libs are libs they act all aggrieved and do a bunch of DARVO shit if they're called out.

Yes. Ultimately both parties serve Capital and Capital alone, and Capital decided that killing and disabling workers was more profitable than protecting us. It was going to happen either way. I hate them so much
