I never believed that the schools would divest. It would ruin their finances. I’m disappointed there was no realistic demand or action to make the schools sweat.

my suspicion is that they will divest temporarily. The state and federal government will cut funding prompting the school to raise tuition. They’ll put a very public, “neutral” statement saying they are listening to students, particularly the pro Palestine ones, and divesting which is why tuition is higher. They’ll get complaints and put up another vote to stay “democratic,” and announce they’re partnering with Israel and weapons companies again per the request of students.

I mean it does kind of matter. People spent money on this shit and were no longer allowed to play it for no reason. It was basically a robbery. But will that make them learn to demand better in the future? No.
