What are the Indian version of the "Serbs" called?

Basically North India (minus Maharashtra). You could call them "Hindustanis" but that term would exclude Punjab which if anything was the source of everything North Indian thousands of years ago

yeah but it's way easier to "make 'em excited" when there are fewer other distractions around, also when the fundamental medium of the information (print and text) is something they're familiar with
