Never heard of this band before. It's amazing.

We stand on the shoulders of giants. I don't know how many of us repeated the experiments in our chemistry textbooks to prove that what was claimed was correct. A few piddling things here and there, but when did I get to build a nuclear bomb?

I recently learned this the hard way with some woodworking. I mean, it worked, but the wood choices could have been better if I had any idea besides walking through the hardware store.

Because they take one sentence from the vet's verbatim of the vestige of the information from the textbook/experience and only focus on that. Imagine the vet says about five paragraphs worth of information about the effects of obesity on cats, and has one line about "his blood panel doesn't show anything outside of the normal range right now." The owners focus on just what confirms their view.

Post-hoc explanations. They're super common once you start looking into people's everyday actions.

Jokes on me, I'm the gym owner. One pullup bar, a vest that can have weights put in, and some adjustable dumbells, and I can do just about everything. The rowing machine is just a plus.

Humorously, the only animal I know off the top of my head that is like us is the horse, and the only reason I know that is because of one stallion that liked to horsey style masturbate whenever I'd clean his stall.

That's the way it is in the several company videos I've had to watch. In a cynical manner, it's all about denying as many targets to the shooter as possible. If everyone is in the hall running, that's a lot of easily accessible targets, and it's harder to miss. If they all hide in locations, it makes it take longer per victim, as the shooter has to seek and find targets.

That's a pretty shapely bag.

I remember one (snapchat maybe?) that couldn't block it so it just alerted the other person you took the screenshot. Maybe it's changed in a decade.

Slight myth there. It was not the intended purpose, but a sort of happy accident. The original patent stated it was a perfect, never damaging thing. See here and the reply here.

As a young dude, I used to get frisked often. Now, I wonder if I could put on a wig and change my frequency. I miss the human contact.
