I get it but damn, a good friend who lives on the other side of the country phoned a few months ago and we just shot the shit for an hour. It was as surprising as it was amazing.
Just giggled as my last meme mentioned trouble with displays and appropriately, a large chunk of the replies were "well MY displays work just fine!" (And charmingly, many were thoughts of things to check, other distros etc. It's a very kind community, though that may also be the fediverse.)
Edit: I'm glad so many of you have had no issues with multiple monitors. My set up is a little unusual (3rd display is an infrequently used large tv hooked through the receiver) and is definitely solveable but will take some effort (and honestly, I'd rather spend my spare time outside or with friends, so who knows when I'll fix it.)

I worked briefly in door to door sales, got taken to some high performer award celebration nonsense and was standing in one of those group circles as people were recounting war stories. "Give her the discount? Hell no. And then I realized she was too old to read what I was writing so I just added an extra year on to the contract!" Huge round of laughter, light applause.
To make it more gross... The discount was standard, we got no extra commission for having or not having it, was purely a free promotion to grease the wheels. He just didn't because, well, the old lady he'd scammed was too trusting.

I got one a few months ago that is my abslolute favourite, not sure if it counts. Important context, I'm 40 but still play soccer with folks as young as 20. So, one game I'm defending against a young fast kid and beat him to the ball (barely!) a few times in a row on long ball chases. After the third or fourth time he looks over after the race and says "You're really fast for an... uhhh uh uh, you're really fast!"
He meant so well and it was adorable watching him realize mid sentence that I probably didn't want to be called an old man.
There's a universe in which a Conservative leader with an ounce of charisma was in charge 2 years ago and is now cosying up to trump.
