I've played all the classes (a couple to 70+, others to 50). My favourite so far has been Barbarian with Hammer of the Ancients smashing everything. Very satisfying and once you get fury sorted then it's just smash, smash, smash.
Yep, and many of the free elixirs you get are quite useless, like "+10% fire resistance". But they all give extra experience gain so always worth having one up.
I'd hope there's at least an achievement. I was disappointed there wasn't one for getting max renown rewards.
I'm still nowhere close to finishing all the side quests and dungeons. Once I get to WT3/WT4, there just doesn't seem any reason to grind through all the regular dungeons.
Mana was slow for me up until around level 50 when I started getting sacred gear with better stats. Get some increased lucky hit chance, get some "mana on lucky hit", add in skills like Avalanche and the aspect that doubles it, aspect to recover mana when you use a cooldown, etc.
It all starts to add up. Lucky hit is a big one with ice shards (with piercing aspect) because it hits so many enemies. As long as there's a big group, I now never have mana issues. It's only in one-on-one fights that I'll run out of mana, but then I can teleport / frost nova / frost armour / flame shield to regain mana.
I went in to WT4 at level 60 with my Barbarian. I just hate sitting around in WT3 where it feels like there's no point optimising equipment because it's all going to be obsolete the moment you step into WT4.
Yep, I've been enjoying it quite a lot. I don't see much fun in eliminating 99% of the character development side of the game by just blindly following a build guide.
Yeah. In D4, I'm happy just having a single build for all content. I haven't found any need for a farming build or a push build or anything.
So it's only when I want to try something, experiment a little, that I really hate the lack of build storage. I can't just park my ice build and respec into fire just to try out that cool new item I just picked up. It's a painful process and then if I want to go back to my main ice build then I have to go through the whole process again. It's almost like they wanted to us to build up multiple characters instead of experimenting with builds. But I really can't find the time to grind up another sorcerer to level 70 just to try out that level 70 item I found.
Nice roll. Pity about the rotation.
I've done it on alt characters. Only takes about an hour running around on the horse to get all the waypoints. Intersperse this with smashing through the strongholds and it's not too dull.
They've made it so map reveal and altars will carry over into seasons. Whether that includes waypoints isn't clear, but I suspect we'll need to unlock them again.
Do you want to take all the defensive skills and ice shards? Or all the defensive skills and blizzard? :P
Yep. How many of them are there? I only remember two or three going through the campaign.
Druid creates the basement. Barbarian kills the rats in the basement.
