But she's working night and day on a ceasefire deal....😂

Oh, the IOF said it? Must be true 😂. The only thing they say concretely and sourced in the article is that he worked at a "pro Hamas" media outlet (can't speak to this claim, but remember all the other things the IOF has claimed are Hamas), and that he wrote a piece for Al Jazeera.

Disregarding all that. Assuming that this guy was a journalist who was also a gun carrying member of Hamas and held actual hostages in his house, does that say anything about the record number of journalists that have been assasinated by the IOF?

I think it pretty clearly doesn't.

Here is a wiki source (insert error bars here) discussion of his stance on his work being officially licensed. He thought that use of his work outside of a comic strip would cheapen the value of the strip itself. This was frusterating as a child (who wouldn't want a fucking Hobbes plushy) but now later I can see that it was at the very least a very defensible choice. Compare how people feel about C&H vs something that was commercialized to death like Garfield. Anyway, hope it's useful.

They've found new and exciting ways to to stuff money in insurance pockets. I may be dumb, but I don't think subsidies are a solution at all. If the Government wanted to set prices...great. if they want to run a single payer system...sploosh. all this does is obscure from people how fucking expensive their healthcare is. I get that that satisfies the need of individual healthcare consumers (sort of....40$ vs the actual monthly rates people will be paying is kind of an "oh how cute" situation), it doesn't make the system any more sustainable.

There must be two types of cats because mine has never had a food that she didn't fucking devour!

As a Iong time ST fan I just way to say, this game was a great time. It was like I was playing through a ST episode, dilemma and all. Sending a ship to warp cinematically was something I never knew I wanted to do, but it was perfect.

My God. I think I have that Barclay doll somewhere. I haven't thought about that in decades...0_0

I wish that Obrien had handled this better rather than leaning into the macho chest-beating. He could've really made this guy look like even more of a doofus if he'd have just been like "Sorry, are you offering to fight me on the house floor right now? I'd like to speak to someone competent".
