It's all broken, just CPC is more broken than the rest

So many edgelords in the comments shit talking younger generations for learning different things.
Y'all sound like old farts crying about how schools stopped using slide rules and how modern music just isn't as good.

It doesn't make it a bad joke, it just makes you not the intended audience.

If you're making a niche joke, don't insult people who don't get it, but if you don't get a joke don't insult the person who made it.

IMO there are two underrated benefits:

  1. It enforces separation of concerns
  2. It provides options to OPS.

Designing for micro services doesn't mean you need to deploy it as micro services. You can deploy it as a monolith and configure it too skip the network stack

I really miss how windows phone allowed other chat services to plug in to it, so that you could have a single chat app for all your contacts, but open the individual apps for advanced features.

It's the unfortunate reality. Social networks simply cannot in offer privacy. If they were upfront about it, then people could make rational decisions about what they share.

But instead they (including Mastodon) pretend like they can offer privacy, when they in fact cannot, resulting in people sharing things that they would not otherwise share.

I see 3.

Two are also coding things 😐

One is also the name of a ransomware attack, so I'm assuming that's the one you're talking about lol

I mean, you practically asked for the downvotes. (Also, if that is truely the intent, then they've made some critical errors in UX design)
