How long could a kid be sent to juvie for trespassing on museum property i proximity to a robbery?

@asklemmy

I'm working on a scene in a book where a 10-year-old girl is arrested right after stealing and handing off the macguffin, but due to good teamwork there is only enough evidence left behind to charge her with trespassing. Considering that it can easily be deduced that she had *something* to do with the stolen macguffin, how long could a judge put her in juvie?

Potentially weird question: if you had to assign a #dnd alignment to the fear of spiders, what would you give it?

@rpg

Just to clarify, I'm asking you to assign an alignment to the idea of creepy spiders in the abstract. I personally lean towards neutral because I don't find spiders scary until they are touching me, and I can't find jumping spiders scary at all. But I want to find out what other people think.

Does anyone use poison pill rings to keep their meds in them?

@adhd

If you do, what are some potential issues I might have with keeping my #adhd #meds in a locket ring? How can I tell if a ring's secret compartment will be big enough? (For context, I use Amoxetine (generic Strattera), which is only available as a caplet)

They're afraid!

@196

I think the health insurance companies are actually taken by surprise by the amount of people who sincerely wish them death. Maybe we will see some almost-meaningful change soon?

Ironic, isn't it? To spend your whole life denying coverage, only to be denied coverage yourself in the end?

@196

The message on the bullets was hilarious too

Let's Make Better Rpg Currencies

@rpg

I'm curious what currency systems my fellow #ttrpg GMs have dreamt up when #worldbuilding.

It's always annoyed me how #dnd's gp/sp/cp currency resembles the USD system so much in the way it is used, despite the fact that IRL a single gold coin would be worth more than my car. Does #WotC think my backpack is worth $8k? That makes no sense to me.

Been thinking of watching the old Digimon anime. Is this a good idea? Am I about to go into debt for a new TCG?

@alvvayson Existing research was about "how do we stop the bugs from circling our lights?". This is about *why* the bugs circle the lights. It artificially triggers the dorsal reflex, which disorients the bugs.

@Afterpants It led to some very chaotic behavior from that character since

  1. Player was mature rper who valued the experience of the other people at the table and very much wanted to see how everything tied together

  2. Character was suddenly very aware that if the story ended, he would stop existing.

  3. Player decided that the character's moment of gnosis also allowed him to possess his irl body while in-character

The "nobody ever uses the bathroom in fiction unless something is sus" trope popped up in a Trail of Cthulhu campaign I ran back in high school. One of the PCs realized in a moment of Mythos-inflicted hysteria that he hadn't used the bathroom in 9 months, which led to him slowly realizing that he was in an episodic work of fiction and would stop existing when the story was over

I always love it when religious characters put the social good above their own personal power. It makes me feel hopeful.

I actually never thought of the Dream spell as a communication tool. I wonder if I can implement a version of the Sending stone for the Dream spell in my DnD campaign. Inflicting terrible nightmares on people for fun seems like something my artificer would do

[-] Shkshkshk@dice.camp 25 points 2 years ago

Stuff like this is why sending stones are the most powerful magic item in DnD.
