We are under constant attack from lobbying, foreign money, corruption and failing allied states looking to hurt us.

Other countries should be championing these causes also.

Yeah the US sucks. The spotify app is getting worse and worse. I contacted them to disable the podcast autoplay video on the homescreen, after giving all my details and reasoning they untoggled and told.me to wipe and reinstall...no difference.

I am in the process of getting the family over to Deezer.

I dispise animated or live features on a homescreen.

Youtube is owned by google, who suck dick and are taking an active role in devolving democracy.

Spotify just sucks dick. Also support EU...everyone should move to deezer maybe.

We need to up our game on many many fronts. We need more investment and harder turn toward deomcratic socialism to fully reap what is being sown.

[-] Squizzy@lemmy.world 18 points 4 days ago

Yeah and one thing autoritarian regimes are known for is sufficient oversight and regulatory rigour!

They are a piss poor insular dictatorship, it is reasonable to expect lacking standards and outdated methodologies as they do not have sufficient investment for cutting edge processes.

Unregistered how? Do you need permission for more?

Meh, they could just as easily land on me, a fly bug landing on something wouldnt stop me eating it. That kind of cautiousness is a recipe for disaster

Play Store is Bad (lemmy.world)
submitted 2 weeks ago by Squizzy@lemmy.world to c/android@lemmy.world

The playstore is really poorly laid out. I dont know how to leave a review anymore. Every description has the same nonsense first instead of a description. Sometimes you can select the app developer to load their page with all their apps and sometimes you can't. When did it get so bad?

I just wanted to flag an issue with an app and the review function isnt there.

Hey! So I have always wanted to make the jump to linux and pc gaming and figured I would do them both together. I would not consider myself techy, just aout tech literate in that I am aware of how much I dont know.

I have linux mint, on a mid to late i5 w/16gb memory. I wanted initially to make a home server but I have jusy been poking around and ended up trying to play all the games I have in attic through emulators and the like.

So I got loads of emulators, I use Cartridge which is a Lutris fork. It just seemed cleaner and worked when I tried it out. In that I had been booting into PCSX2 and finally playing MK Deception again. After three evenings poking and gaming PCSX2 shuts down every time I try to boot a game.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled and changed from 1.7.xx to 2.2 to the nightly 2.3 (I think). I cannot get it to work.

I have so many questions but if I could get back to Konquest I would be so happy, and bother you all later.

Hey,

I recently made the jump to linux. I wanted to sart PC gaming and figured I would start as I mean to go on.

I am having an issue with getting my ps5 controller connected. Steam recognises it, everything mapped fine. I open pcsx2 and it thinks its a dualshock 2. I cannot get it to work in game. I have remapped and everything but when I get to a menu, the D pad will work but selecting an option won't.

Any advice appreciated.

Can someone please tell me why the gmail android app does not allow for this? Is there some system condition that disables this feature. It is surely related to android becuase iOS has signature matching.

Google owns every step of this.

This girl should not get the blame here.

I need to get up without waking the wife and kids, I got a smartwatch to vibrate and it woke her. The alarm is always going to wake the house.

Is there anything else?

I watched beautiful Kate years and years ago, my first Mendo movie, and I loved the music. I used to listen to the main theme and "this little Bird" on YouTube but the latter has been removed from everywhere I've searched.

If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it.

I check the spec and it has a wifi chip but the os can't see it.

I had a wifi toggle on windows 11 when I got the PC and also when I used a mint USB boot. Driver manager sees nothing to update or install.

The mint community page has failed to post my question a few times so now I'm here.

I want to get a sync box but they are not 4k120. The FancyLEDs box only has one input meaning I can't use a PS5 and set top box or Apple TV.

Any advice or successful set ups?

I am looking for speakers, decent quality and nice looking that doesn't stand out too much. I want it on a bookshelf in the kitchen and another in the sitting room.

I want it to connect to a home server but also Spotify/streaming. And I'd like them to link together.

Basically I want the house listening experience to be seamless when going between different rooms, 2-4 speakers. Audiobooks and some music would be stored on a Nas and most music and podcasts would be Spotify.

I'd prefer to interact with it through my phone, Android if possible but not completely necessary.

In my head I imagine walking into a new room and tapping the speaker with my phone to switch to that speaker.

Is this a real thing?

I see a lot about source codes being leaked and I'm wondering how it that you could make something like an exact replica of Super Mario Bros without the source code or how you can't take the finished product and run it back through the compilation software?
