I convinced myself that manjaro is less stable than fedora. But not completely. It depends on the device and what is installed on it.

For some reason, I was able to run Manjaro on my hp laptop without issues for a long time. However my brother on his Lenovo laptop, the manjaro update just killed itself after 2 months. And this always after some months the updater would not work anymore.

I then installed Fedora on his laptop, and damn that thing stayed up and running for 2y now. Even after major system update, never broke, and package install always worked, at least when the tutorials are up to date on special things.

Like installing video codecs, I had to do another command which was not mentioned on the fedora docs, in order to switch from ffmpeg libre to ffmpeg. And then the rest of the install commands would work.

I got it for free on EGS, and well, I can say that it is good.

Tho it is badly optimised for windows/pc. Maybe because I have an amd gpu or not?

There were settings I had to play with to find and get a smooth experience even with a rx 6950 xt and r5 5800x3d.

It's a great action packed game, nice to try.

I recently finished Grime (I got it for free on EGS). Not 100% tho.

A metroidvania with lots of difficulty to it.

Tho I found it to be a great game, but not amazing.

The bosses have great music and a beautiful design, they offer a great challenge, and often a respoin point is close enough to not be an annoyance.

There was some (multiple) places where area music was absent, and seemed sketchy.

Weapon balance is, well not that great, due to stamina. The game heavily pushes towards using low stamina consumption weapons, which also attack fast and do low damage per hit.

Higher damage per hit weapons are slower and use more stamina which is very punishing.

The inability to change the mouse binds is also a disappointment. Tho good thing I had ghub to create macros for the game and allow me to change those.

They really want to go home soo bad that I failed the mission when the guy spoke at the begining lol.

No idea why my team failed. And because it was the first time I got the voicelines, it was a bit comical. (I did not get it the first run).

Good thing I can block them just from their post. Some Lemmy apps are cool.

(on Liftoff i can, on thunder I can't).

Not sure using Ecosia has any benefit if using ublock to block everything.

Ecosia doesn't apply tracking cookies. And fingerprinting does not need cookies. It just needs to know what you are.

Device size, information, browser... And other shared info.

Any sources please?

I have this https://ecosia.helpscoutdocs.com/article/377-ip-addresses

When communicating your searches to Bing to provide you with results, we never communicate your IP address together with your search queries.

And this : https://www.ecosia.org/privacy

For example, when searching for “tree” on Ecosia we forward the following information to our partner, Bing: IP address (to a separate fraud detection server, so your search term and IP address are never sent to the same server), meta-data on your device that is necessary for the result like screen size, search term, and some settings like your country and language setting.

If you choose to enable “personalised search”, Ecosia sets a Bing-specific “customer ID” parameter to improve the quality of your search results. You can also choose to enable this feature by modifying your user settings.

The search request and IP are sent to separate servers and with different goals.

Mot likely the IP is sent to Bing to detect if it's bot. That way Ecosia can know when to send a captcha.

And the search request is sent by Ecosia without the IP or identifying informations.
